I'm sorry if it seems short but eh. Also, I decided to update every Sunday.
Jay's POV:
"Mom," I spoke up.
"Yeah?"
"So I made some new friends today..."
"Oh that's so exciting!" She cut me off. I nodded my head and continued, "and one of them, who's name is Simon, invited us to his house and just... hang out."
"And you wanna go?"
"Yeah..." I said, rubbing the back of my neck. She zoned out for a second then agreed to let me go.
I quickly ran up to my room and changed my outfit since I was wearing sweatpants and a tank top.
"You can take my car but make sure to drive it carefully. Oh and be back before 8." She said, handing me the keys to her car.
I smiled at her once more and got out to the driveway and hopped on the car. As I drove away, Simon called me and I accepted the call.
"Hey, you coming?" He Asked.
"Yeah, I uh just need your address
He gave me his address and I drove there while still on the phone with him.
"Okay I'm here..." I told him.
"Great! I'll come pick you up by the front door."
I hanged up and got out of the car, looking at his house with amazement. I mean it's a normal house but it looked so cool. It looked simple yet fancy.
I walked up to the porch and was about to ring the doorbell but the door opened and Simon was there.
"Hey, glad you could make it." He smiled and let me in.
"Emma and Ashley are already here, in the living room. C'mon."
We walked to the living room while he joked about something.
"Okay so let me get this straight... you think that the Earth is flat?" I heard Emma say as I walked in.
"Yeah.. well no.. I'm unsure at the moment." Ashley told her. Emma looked like she wanted to
"WHY DO YOU- never mind..." Emma shook her head then faced me and Simon once she saw us.
"Oh, hey Jay!" She greeted me. Ashley turned to us too and smiled at me, "We were gonna play some Mario Kart. Wanna join?" Ashley offered.
"Yeah. It's been a while since I played it..." I sat next to them on the couch while Simon announced he was gonna go get some snacks.
"I'll set up the game." Ashely said, moving to the floor next to the T.V and turned it on.
"SHIT! FUCK!" We heard Simon yell. Me and Emma rushed to the kitchen to see what was going on and Ashley just stayed, setting up the game as if she didn't just hear Anthony yell.
"What happened?" I asked as we entered the kitchen.
Simon was lying on the floor with popcorn and lemonade everywhere.
We helped him up and I tried my best not to laugh or at least smile but I failed and lost my shit. Emma laughed along with me as the three of us cleaned the kitchen up.
"Laugh all you want, one day it'll happen to you," He said and it just made us laugh even more.
I thought I heard him mutter about something "cute".
