My dear,
You know I like to write things down because then everything is so much clearer. Plus, life is too short to leave things unspoken. It has been some time since we have seen each other and I miss you like crazy every day. You are far away and I pray every second that you are safe. So with this letter I want to give you something to hold on to.
Let me paint a picture of our perfect date.
Our perfect date will be on the anniversary of the day that we met. Do you remember that night? I do like it was yesterday. So you are going to pick me up from my house, looking as fine as you always do and I'm gonna wear that dress that you like.
Holding hands we are going to walk to our favorite restaurant and enjoy the perfect summer night. Nearly there, the heel of my favourite shoe is going to break. But you are going to give me a piggyback and carry me. We are going to run down the street, laughing like children. You always know how to cheer me up.
Then we will arrive at that italian restaurant that we both love and have been going to for years. Just to see, that it is closed for the night. You are going to be bummed, because you really wanted that tiramisu, but I'm going to convince you to try that little bar across the steet, that we never really noticed.
There we might get a cute little booth and giggle like teenagers. They might not have tiramisu, but delicious tapas and funny drinks. They are going to play music we both don't really know how to dance to but I'm going to do those goofy moves so that nobody even looks at you (because I know how shy you get, even though you would never admit it).
We are going to meet new people, that will eventually become friends, and we are going to talk all night, discovering things about each other, that we didn't know we did not know. And after an amazing night, we are going to walk home, looking at the stars.
Except, that there will be no stars and it's going to start raining like crazy. Even though we run, we are going to get soaked and my hair is going to get all curly. You know how much I hate that. But you will say I still look beautiful andl kiss me and then the world is going to stop, just as it did when we first kissed. And I will hug you and tell you how much I love you, even more than when we met.
Date saved.
When we are together, it does not matter what happens. The only thing I need for a date to be perfect is you by my side. My love, save that date.
Take care,
forever yours,
F.
