"Nini!" I yell out. She flickers her eyes towards me but continues to converse with one of our classmates Kai with her beautiful gummy smile that I adore. I sigh in disappointment and lean against my locker to wait for her to finish chatting up with the guy I despise while feeling the pinch in my heart increase.

After a few minutes I frown seeing them hug goodbye before she slowly walks towards me with a shy smile etched into her heart shaped lips with blushing cheeks. But meeting my gaze her smile instantly drops. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion seeing her pained expression as she stood in front of me.

"Hi Nini," I go to reach for a hug but she quickly backs away as she gazes around the hallways as if hoping no one was watching. I drop my arms and stare at her with a hurt expression. I try to mask the pain with a smile,

"What's wrong?" I ask. She simply shrugs while keeping her gaze around while uncomfortable fidgeting in her stance.

"Nothing." She replies. I stare at her unconvinced but immediately dropped it, hoping it was indeed nothing.

"Okay? So Kai huh?" I ask. She meets my gaze with a blank expression.

"Yeah we're going on a date tonight." The moment she said was the moment my heart completely shattered. I froze,

"T..tonight?" I ask again as I stared at her in disbelief. She sure as hell knows that today was my birthday and tonight was our tradition birthday movie and baking night. She nods casually,

"Yeah." She shortly replies. I grit my teeth, holding in my frustration for her shortness with me. It was causing the pain to increase slowly.

"I.. I thought you were s..spending my birthday with me? Our tradition?" I ask, my voice increasing slightly as my irritation was growing. She sighs and shrugs again,

"I'm sorry." She simply states not seeming to be genuine. I take a step away from her and sarcastically chuckle,

"That's it? A simple sorry? Are you fucking kidding me?!" I yell out, ignoring a few students turning their attention towards us. Jennie winces and bows her head low in embarrassment and narrows her eyes towards me,

"Lower your voice Lisa. It's not a big deal." She scowls. I narrows my eyes as well and cross my arms,

"Not a big deal? My best friend ditching me for a dude she barely knows on my birthday isn't a big deal?!" I ask again, feeling more angry than before with her insincere expression. She crosses her arms as well before replying,

"Am I really a best friend to you Lisa? Huh?!" She angrily asks. I look at her in confusion, not comprehending what she is trying to ask me,

"What the hell are you talking about?!" I ask.

"I know you like me. And I'm sorry to say but I don't! People have been talking about how weird we're acting as if we're a couple and it makes me extremely uncomfortable!" She yells out. Not seeming to care that a crowd was slowly starting surround us. With each word she was spitting out was like a bullet going through my body. I didn't just like her, I was in love with her.

"Just you holding my hand out of no where gives me the shivers! I can't stand it anymore so just do me a favor and leave me the hell alone!" She screams out. I stare at her silently for a moment, letting every word register into my brain.

I look around the crowd seeing a few staring at me with sympathy, some staring me with a look of disgust and the others snickering. I look back at Jennie who seemed to freeze and widen her eyes in surprise as tears that I've been holding have finally escaped my eyes. I swallow back a sob before roughly wiping my tears away,
