You are best friends with Grayson since you were kids. Your mother had passed away a few years ago, leaving you alone living w/ your dad.
You sat in the corner of your room with tears streaming down your eyes. All you wished was for things to go back to normal. You wanted your mom back... ever since your mom passed away, you were left with nothing. You dad had completely changed. He wasn't the loving father figure you knew before. He became aggressive and abusive.
You looked in the mirror
You hated seeing all the bruises that were left behide. But what you mostly hated was other people seeing them. While you were in your deep thoughts, you heard your phone ring.
It was a new message from Grayson. You quickly opened it.
Messages:
Gray-bestie🧸❤️
Gray: hey princess
Y/n: hey wassap?
Gray: nothing... just wanted to see how you were doing, I feel like we haven't talked in a while. Is everything ok?
Y/n: gray... yes I'm ok❤️
Gray: I know that something's up, can you just pls trust me and tell me what's happening?
You knew that Grayson could sense something had been going on. But you felt like telling him would get him involved in your problems and the last thing you wanted was for him to stress over it.
A few moments later
You still hadn't replied to Grayson's last message. You felt bad for leaving him on read but you didn't know what to tell him. While getting lost in your thought again... you hear someone yell downstairs. It was your dad. He was probably on the phone arguing, you could tell by the tone in his voice that he was upset.
You knew that after the call would end he would get all of his anger out on you. Like always you felt terrified. You knew you couldn't just sit there and turn into your father's punching bag.
You pull out your phone again
You decided to txt gray. Like always he replied immediately
Y/n: srry for taking so long to reply, I had to do something
Gray: that's alright... so are you gonna tell me what's going on
Y/n: rn I don't have time to explain but can I pls stay at your place for tonight?
Gray: sure, but you'll have to sneak in cause my parents are asleep
Y/n: ok I'll see you in a few
Gray: ok bye❤️
You managed to sneak out of your house without your dad noticing
You walked down the dark streets of your neighborhood. The only thing to be heard was the rocks and sticks being stepped on beneath your feet. Grayson didn't live that far so you knew you would be there soon.
Soon you could see Grayson's house. The only light that was turned on was in Gray's room. He had left the back door open so you just quickly walked in. You walked slowly up the stairs, but the floor was creaking and making all the possible noises.
You stood outside of Grayson's door
You opened it slowly... when you walked in Gray was sound asleep. He was precious. You quietly sat down next to gray. He suddenly wakes up. You tried to hide all your bruises with your hoodie by looking down. You hoped he hadn't noticed but it was to obvious.
He looked deeply into your eyes."y/n what's wrong? How did you get all these bruises?" He asked while gently lifting your chin up.
"Don't worry about it gray, it's nothing."
That wasn't very convincing to Gray... not even to you.
"Y/n pls tell me what's going on! You can't hide this from me forever!" Gray said. He was right... you had to tell him the truth eventually. And that's what you did. You told gray everything... you tried your best but you couldn't hold back tears. Gray had a shocked and upset look on his face after you finished telling him everything. You were a crying mess.
Gray brought you into a warm hug.
You felt safe in his arms. You felt so much better knowing that Gray will always be there for you. He whispered, "he's never gonna hurt you again... I love you." You smiled.
"I love you more."
You and Gray cuddled to sleep.
You let all your worries wash away.
