The Beginning of The End

*Ring*

The bell rang the last time for the week. For Kris, the week felt long and unforgiving. As he grabbed his bag, he felt a hand on his shoulder.

S: Hey babe.

He saw Susie as he smiled.

K: Hey.

S: You ready?

The two walked out the classroom.

K: Ready as ever. Just gotta tell Ma.

S: Alright. I'll be waiting at the closet.

Kris opened his locker and grabbed his phone, put his bag in and shut it. He heard a herd of voices call for him.

He turned to his left, seeing the school jock team.

J/1: You doing something this weekend.

K: Yeah, with Susie. Why y'all ask?

J/2: We're thinking of heading to the next town for a trip. We hear Don's aunt is a sciencetist over there.

K:..Is her name Abby?

J/4: Y-yeah! How'd you know?

K: I did some research. Anyway, no thanks. I got something to do. I won't be free until Sunday.

J/1: K. See you Sunday then.

With that, the jocks walked out the school. Kris smiled. He couldn't really tell him, but he wished. Just then, Kris's phone rang. He picked up to find it was Joshua.

K: Hey Josh.

J: Hey kid. You still at school?

K: Well, yeah. Why?

J: I gotta give you something. I'm outside the school.

K: I'll be out there in a minute.

Kris walked out the school, the sunny sky feeling warm on him. He saw Joshua, who was fully recovered from alcohol, leaning on his truck to the right of the school. Kris walked over to Joshua, who noticed him.

J: Hey kid.

K: Hey Josh.

Joshua held out a blue cloth with something in it. Kris grabbed the cloth. He then felt what was in the cloth.

He slowly pulled out a gold metal revolver. The varnish was white, and it had an engraved scorpion in the handle.

Kris looked up to Joshua.

K: Thank you.

J: Your welcome. Just don't show that to anyone at school.

K: You know I wouldn't.

Susie walked out the entrance and seen Kris.

S: You about ready?

K: Yeah, I'm ready now.

J: Well, I'll let you two to it.

Joshua hugged Susie one last time.

J: Love you.

S: Love you.

Joshua got into his truck and drove away.

K: How are things with you and him since you moved back in?

S: He cooks, he cleans up the house, the house is looking better! Everything is actually better!

K: He's a good person. He really is!

S: Yeah. We ready to go?

K: Just gotta call.

S: Gotcha.

Kris pulls out his phone and calls Toriel. The phone doesn't even take two rings before it connects.

T: Hey Kris.

K: Hey ma. I'm gonna go to a friend's house for the weekend. Is that ok?

T: Of course it's ok! Just be home by 11:00.

K: Ok ma. Love you. Bye.

T: Love you. Bye.

*Click*

S: Let's go.

Susie smiles as she grabs Kris's hand. Kris smiles back, and they both walk back to the school...
