New Change

10:31 A.M.

Kris and Susie walked out of the Mess Hall, their stomachs full. They stayed silent, the echoes of their footsteps sounding off in the halls. Susie saw a soldier in the distance, thus giving her an idea. She nudged Kris's elbow.

K: Hm?

S: You think they got a barbershop here?

K: *Sigh* Maybe.

S: Let's ask that guy over there.

K: Sure. Excuse me!

The monster looked over and walked to the couple.

S1: What is it, sir?

K: Is there a hair salon around here?

S1: Yes, there is.

The soldier turned around.

S1: Take that right, go down the hallway, and it should be the 3rd door to the right.

S: Perfect. Thanks.

The soldier nodded his head and stood his back to the wall. The two took the right.

K: Y'know, you could've just told me to cut it while we were here.

S: Yeah well, we're here, and you're getting that long ass hair cut.

K: Fine.

Susie reached out to grab to handle, but Kris grabbed her forearm.

K: As long as you get yours cut off.

S: Yeah, I probably should.

Kris pulled the door open for Susie as she went in, closing it behind him. The barber saw the two, and his eyes lit up.

B: I must say, I never thought I'd see the day! Now, what can I do for you two?

K: I just want mine cut a couple inches shorter.

B: Say no more! And what about you, young ma'am?

S: Same with him.

B: Well, I'll get my assistant, and then we'll get started!

The barber walked into another door in the shop.

K: Well, he was happy to see us.

S: I know, right?

The two busted into laughter. In between laughs, Kris barely spoke.

K: Might as well of said, "Pizza pasta, this is a surprise!"

They laughed even harder. By the time the barber was back, the two were struggling to get themselves off the floor.

B1: What's so funny?

The two couldn't even say.

B2: Were they like this when they walked in?

B1: No..
