Anna's Diary:

• The tragedy of 2111:

: Date 7/9/1587

By candle light in my new bedroom.

For me yesterday was 6/9/2111 and my 18th birthday.

My father was a scientist obsessed with time travel, we considered him to be craze. As much as everyone said time travel was impossible he insisted he could do it. Mum who died two years ago, tried telling him even if it was possible the danger of messing with the space-time continues is not worth it. The smallest stone tost into a pond makes a big ripple. In other words the butterfly affect. But two nights ago he believed he had succeeded, he thought he would go say goodbye to nana first.

But yesterday a nuke hit London, since dad was in London at the time visiting Nana it was a instant death for him and Nana but....

Sorry that I have made a mess of the page from the tears that poured down my cheeks. Now that I have pulled myself together I will continue.

But for me, being home in Liverpool it was only a matter of time till we all died of the poison in the air of the outer Ripple of the nuke. With panic of the minutes my choice was take a risk of time travel with a possible of the butterfly effect or die of the so-called giant bird effect of what just happened. Sorry mum for choosing the butterfly.

In a hurry and panic I grabbed all of mum's jewelery, because they won't have print pay wherever I go. My grandfather taught any rule of servile is food and water in this case apples that were on the bench. I stuffed them into my bag along with this book and pencil. I ran to the shed for dad's time travel watch. With the influence of our recent history classes I put in the year 1587 the time of Elizabeth I.

It made my mind spin around and around dizziness made it look like the room was spinning, I could smell the poison of the air getting stronger and then as one dose when their dizzy I fell to the ground but instead of hitting the shed concrete floor I fell in to a filled of grass and cows. I could smell lavender in the air.

From the head rush I was not able to stand up so I drank some water and ate an apple before falling asleep in the grass.

This morning I thought where should I go? How can I blend in? I went through mum's jewelery and decided that I would always keep Mum's gold engagement ring with three diamonds, a pair of opal earrings as well as a big opal gold locket in it a small wedding photo on one side, my brother and I on the other side. The first thing I would sell is a gold chain that my auntie gave mum that she didn't like anyway.

As I walked to the closest market I enjoyed the wide-open space and the smell of lavender. As I entered the city I was breath taken it was like walking into a museum. Every building looks like a work of art, it makes the future city look like a monopoly board.

I sold the chain for ten gold coins that is a lot in these days. Then I bought a nice big light blue dress with white lacing. I had my long light brown hair put up with just a few light curls hanging down. With mothers jewelery on I looked like a bridesmaid. Now where to go and how to get there?

I saw the Queens carriage pass throw. So I followed it and it's tracks for an hour to one of the Queen's castles.

CHAPTER 2

• Win the Queen:

I enter the royal court passed the guards with no hassles for I did look wealthy. Court is a white stone hall with rich beautiful women gossiping and flirting on one side. Men talking about women and power on the other side. Couples dancing and flirting in the middle. I was nerves as other ladies at court looked at me and where questioning each other "who's that do you know her?" My opal locket was also amongst the talk for no one had seen a opal before because opals come from Australia and Australia had not been discovered yet, so of cause I couldn't tell them where it came from. Up the front a magnificent centaur piece that out shines any jewel, sculpture or painting Queen Elizabeth I.
