-Gemma-

I'm running. Not out of fear or to flee from danger. I'm running to something, though I have no idea what it is. I'm watching myself run. My hair streaming out behind me, and my blue eyes gleaming in the low light of the sun over head, I run happily. And I see it, a light, and I sprint even faster than before. And when I can nearly taste it- my eyes snap open and I pant for breath as though i had actually just ran to whatever it was I was chasing. I sit up quickly, making my head spin a bit.

"Gem? You okay?" Cara's voice drifts across my sheets. I blink, barely even remembering the dream. My best friend rubs a sleepover manicured hand over her energy-deprived face, pushing aside her light brown spirals aside messily. I smile knowing she'd probably be here all day if I don't force her out of bed.

"Yeah, I'm not sure I even know what I was dreaming about." I say with a tired chuckle. Cara just smiles a sleepy smile and cuddles closer to me. I grinned down at her, I seriously love this girl to pieces. "You tired Cara?" I ask though she wouldn't remember we'd even had this conversation later, but hey, it's the thought that counts.

She makes this sort of animal groan letting me know to shut my mouth so she could continue to wallow in her unconsciousness and my coral colored sheets. I let out a yawn and glance at the clock on my bedside, 10:30 am. We were currently enjoying our last week of summer hibernation period. It's a sort of tradition with us. I smile to myself, and snuggle back down into the salmon-pink and white striped comforter.

This is the life for me. No worries, no problems, just me and my best friend spending all our time in each other's company and wanting nothing more than for the summer to be endless. I begin to drift off again, and hope for this year to be memorable. The last thing I see is the mysterious sort of sparkling on the inside of my eyelids.

"Cara Kylie Contreras!" I yell at the body under bed cover.

"What is the problem my impatient yet sexy friend?" She retorts from within her cocoon. I can imagine her face, I know her so well, a twist between an annoyed and amused smirk. She's probably already planning her attack for when I even begin to suggest she stands.

"The problem is we start school in four days and we haven't bought one single article of clothing in about four months. I'm going into shopping deprivation shock!" I joke. Well, sort of. I do need new clothes. Her eyes peek out of her shelter, her eyes bored. I grin evilly, and inch closer to the bed, taking hold of the sheets and comforter.

"Gemma, I will kill you." She warns, her light brown eyes narrowing. I give it a tiny tug. "Gemma." She repeats, raising one eyebrow. I release my hold on her shelter, and she throws me a smug smile.

"Ugh! Fine, but we have to hurry. There's a sale at Abercrombie and I need a new skirt or my legs will remain forever Casper colored." She glances at my pale legs, grimances and groans, beginning to crawl out of my bed. Victory for me! Cara has no will power against my puppy face.

"The things I do for you." She mumbles as she gets dressed. I turn on my radio and laugh as Baby by Justin Bieber comes on right on the most hated part or the song.

"You know you love me! You know you care!" The speakers wail and Cara groans again.

-Kade-

"What the hell is this?" I ask my girlfriend, Cambryn. Well not for long. I throw her phone on the table in front of her, a text from some guy flashing on the screen.

"Babe! What are you talking about!?" she asks, all innocently. To be honest that makes me even angrier, I don't even want to look at her. Her perfection sickens me to my core now. Her pin straight blonde hair, her frosty grey eyes and pink glossy lips, they all disgust me right now. I can't believe I thought I loved her. Gross.
