Sixteen

I ran upstairs and into my room, I slammed shut my door.

oh my god why did I ask that , im such a fool I thought to myself.

I suddenly heard someone knocking my door "come in" I said, my mom walked in and sat beside me on my bed.

"can we talk" she asked and I nodded "so about what u said at the table", I looked up at her.

"First u have to eat something , then I'll tell u" she stated "umm im not that hungry" I said , "quit lying dear, come with me" she grabbed me by my hand and walked downstairs and made me eat some food when I finished I asked her "mom, can u tell me now?"

"yes", she nodded,"so...it all happened..."

"..we were working and doing the office work as usual, then we saw Mr Dolan rush out of his cabin and before I could go up to him and ask what's wrong he left, later that day after me and cooper came back to our house, we got a call from Mr Dolan saying that he wanted to meet him the other day.."

"...The second day, we went to his house and he called us in, he told us that his brother and sister in law passed away in a car accident, luckily their daughter.." she looks down and then looks at me, it hits me that I'm the one she's talking about.

"m-mom you can leave now, please, I don't wanna talk about this" I lay on my pillow holding back the tears that were forming in my eyes. She leans in to give me a tight hug.

"I wanted to tell this to you earlier but I also didn't wanted to hurt you" I can feel her crying a little but as soon as I was about to get up she leaves.

I lay back in my bed, even though I wanted to know more about my parents, I just lay there not wanting to get up, soon I drift off in a relaxing sleep.
