Ivy:
I waited alone in the dressing room, fiddling with my watch. It smelt of feet, moldy food, and cum.Lovely
I hadn't seen him since the funeral but it was getting to be too much on my own. I couldn't do it anymore.
Deep in my own thoughts, I was interrupted by the door opening, again. I didn't even move because I knew it probably wasn't them, it wasn't the past 17 times, so why would it be this time?
"Miss Wilson?" A voice asked and I turned around
"Yes?" I asked and stood up, adjusting my jeans
"They're actually waiting for you on stage left" A small woman said. I swallowed hard and nodded
"Okay" I said and I grabbed my bag and followed her. She was wearing a suit with a skirt that matched and fitted her perfectly. Her hair was slicked back into a ponytail and her makeup was very matte and pale.Though I had long legs and arms, it was hard to keep up with her, even in my Converse. When we finally got to the stage area, she asked for my bag and I nodded and gave it to her. I smiled and she walked off and I saw my brother and the rest of the band playing an acoustic cover of one of my favorite songs for a couple of fans. Probably VIP or something like that. I leaned against a pole and leaned my head onto it, and listened to my brother's guitar and the singer's pure voice. He hadn't changed much. Really, not at all. It was humbling in a way and I barely even know him.
After the song was done, Isaac turned his head my way and smiled, adjusting his guitar on his lap. I smiled and waved to him and fixed my hair behind my ear as it popped back since it was still short and smiled at the ground. They all said their goodbyes to the young girls as they clapped and cheered for them. A couple crying even.
"Ivy" My brother smiled and set his guitar in it's stand and ran to me, giving me a tight hug, almost making me fall over
"Isaac" I laughed as he held me tightly. He hadn't seen any of us since the day he left after the funeral.
"Ivy, you remember Shawn, Michael, Logan, Grant, and Rob?" He asked and I locked eyes with Shawn. I hadn't seen them since elementary school. And Shawn, yeah, I couldn't forget him.
"Of course" I said as I stared at Shawn and broke our stare and turned to Isaac, "I've missed you guys" I smiled and turned to them
"It's nice seeing you again" Logan said with a wave and a nod. I smiled at him and he nodded to the others and walked slowly to a couple girls waiting for him and walked off. The guys chuckled and our huddle became a little tighter
"How was the show?" I asked
"Great" Shawn smiled
"Yeah, wish you would've seen it V" Isaac said and I nodded and backed away from him a little
"Yeah I know, I'm sorry I had to get ready and stuff" I said waving my hand a little by my hip and the guys smiled and nodded
"Yeah, there are a lot more shows to see anyways" Grant winked. I smiled and nodded at him and an awkward silence fell upon us.
"Well" Isaac said, "Why don't we get our stuff together and get on the bus?" He said and the guys shrugged and nodded. Isaac smiled at me and put his arm around my neck and we walked in front of the group. I didn't feel like I belonged. I didn't know if I wanted to belong.
