She looks up at me, brown eyes wide and innocent. Unconsciously, I lean in and place my hand on her cheek. She glances down, and her cheeks warm. As I smile, she leans up and presses our lips together, wrapping her arms around my neck. Slightly startled, I don't respond for a moment, then close my eyes and press back, tasting her lips and feeling her pulse through them. Her fingers begin to play with the hair on the back of my neck, causing goosebumps to rise on my skin.
My thumb strokes her cheekbone softly, my other arm coming around her waist and bringing her closer to me. Through the graphic tee shirt she has on, I can feel her pulse increase, thudding quickly, in time with my own. She pulls my beanie off, running her fingers through my hair. This brings more goosebumps, and I deepen the kiss, softly biting her lip. Pulling me even closer, she opens her mouth, allowing my tongue access. Playing with her tongue, I anchor my hand behind her ear, coaxing her tongue into my mouth.
We stand there in the kitchen, wrapped in the warm embrace of each other's arms for a while longer. Soon, however, someone comes in and a shocked gasp comes from the person. "Jacob!? What the hell are you doing with her!?" I pull away slowly, knowing who this is. "Syn..." I turn to face her, voice rock-hard with determination. "You have no room to talk, making out with Jace while we needed to set up." I tell her, looking at her with a steely gaze in my deep, ocean colored eyes. "Elena, I know I have a chance with. Your brother won't even let me talk to you anymore. We've grown apart.." With the final statement, Jensyn begins to cry, and Adam comes in behind her, with both anger and what seems like relief in his dark eyes. Taking Elena's hand, I pull her past the sobbing frame of my crush and my best friend, and we enter the living room of the house. People pat my shoulder, congratulating me, but all I can think of is getting Elena out of there.
Grabbing my silver instrument, I lead my new girlfriend out of the house.
