1. Distorted World

The sudden crashing sound jolted me awake, the sleep still fresh in my eyes, disoriented I got up real fast and struggled to remember where I am.
I found a small candle nearby and burned it while trying to look at the commotion outside but all in vain, all I could hear was screaming and gunshots. I blew my candle and got inside the cupboard while closing the door leaving just enough gaps to look without getting caught. As soon as I concealed myself I heard footsteps marching towards the room occupied by me, even before I could see them I was able to hear them. The darkness helped me conceal myself quite easily. They started kicking things while sprouting profanities, part of me was glad that I hid way before them. Slowly I got inside the half-broken wall and placed the cardboard concealing my body from them as I was told multiple times to do.
Rule 1- Never attack when they are in a pack, Rule 2- Don’t be hasty and if you are lucky enough they will get killed due to their stupidity way before you have to do that deed.
As I slowly started retreating back into the tunnel dug by the previous owners I heard them scream.
Truth to be told they had it coming, my momma used to tell me that evil men will never thrive not in this world at least. I started crawling towards the end of the hole not before saying a prayer for them because no matter what they were humans too, albeit a bit bonkers.
I lost my momma some 2-3 years ago when suddenly this whole planet ceased to exist, not because of some nuclear attack or other attacks but because the Humans became more greedy and crooked than they were supposed to be.
Attacking each other to gain power, it started suddenly and slowly with countries fighting against each other, trying to eliminate the other and show their power it was normal for us, and then it spread within the country rape, murder, homicide and what not. People thought of it little because it was happening everywhere and in every country in some countries more violently than others. This chaos was seen even in the minute level of the society with an increase in eve teasing and comments that were passed against the girls. Nobody thought anything of them because that is normal right, aren’t we all are drilled to think of it as something normal. It happens everywhere right? That was our biggest fault and the initial stage of our downfall.
It spread like a wildfire and within 5-6 years there was nothing to salvage.
I remember vividly the day my momma died praying till the end that I will be saved. These men came inside our hideout while killing the remaining same men and raping the women and slashing anything that came in their path. Their eyes were full of insanity with only one oath "To kill every human irrespective of caste, creed, and sex".
That night was one of the bloody nights I have seen thus far. I thought everything was lost but I guess I found a loophole; there are people who aren’t affected due to this. There are people who are fighting against these insane beings who have lost their common sense way before, who are only controlled by rage and death. 
Now my goal is to find them and somehow salvage this dystopian world, I wore my armor and reloaded my gun while I reached the end of the tunnel.
Once I was out of the tunnel, I prayed to the devil to do his work as I pressed the button and started walking away from the dilapidated house. The house went in a blazing fury while burning each and every corrupted soul inside it.
“May you all roast in hell”.
