           song: Irreplaceable- Beyoncé

this has got to be the worst day in all of existence. in my 6 1/2 years of life the earth has not seen a worse day.

and my parents don't seem to understand that and my brother isn't helping either. he's kicking the back of my seat like I won't use the bad words I learned in first grade on him.

we are in our minivan going to our new "home". my parents thought that it was okay to pick up and move to another state halfway through the summer.

I was perfectly fine living in ohio, great actually. I had my friends and I liked my babysitter. but no, my dad was tired of always traveling for work so "we" decided to move to New Jersey.

i had to say goodbye to all my friends but I didn't even get the chance to have a party at school because "we" didn't decide until summer. all I wanted was to go to camp and the pool this summer.

I dont see why my brother is fine with this either. i'm "only going into second grade so I'll have plenty of time to make friends" but colton's going to be 9 this year! it's a lot harder for older kids to make new friends.

I look back into the car after I snap out of my own head to hear my jam playing.

"You must not know 'bout me
You must not know 'bout me
I could have another you in a minute
Matter fact he'll be here in a minute, baby
You must not know 'bout me
You must not know 'bout me
I can have another you by tomorrow
So don't you ever for a second get
To thinking you're irreplaceable"

I cant be sad when I hear this song, so I sing along

"... you're irreplaceable"

once beyoncé stopped belting it out I got agitated again.

"how much longer"

my mom knew I didnt want to move and could tell by my annoyed voice I meant business.

"only 4 hours baby. why don't you take a nap and we'll be there when you wake up"
~
I woke up as the car was pulling up to a gas station. I didnt see any houses around so i knew we weren't there. liars.

I look back to see my older brother passed out in the fetal position. "Mom, Colton doesn't have his seatbelt on."

"Daylee Alexis don't be a snitch and Colton sit up please." you could tell my mom was tired of being in the car too but, I was just trying to look out for my bro. well not really.

"good job Doodoo Daylee you tried to get me in trouble but you just got roasted by mom." god colton was so annoying. he gave me that nickname when I was born because he wanted a brother.

"how much longer mommy" yes I still call my mom mommy even if Stephanie Kramer picks on me for it.

"I dont know sweetie. Your father has the map and hes still pumping gas." ugh, she's no help.

I turned to my brother, cause while he is annoying I dont HATE HATE him. "colt play NASA with me." it's basically just eye spy on steroids.
~
after 4 rounds of our game, 15 minutes since the gas station, the surroundings changed from highways to suburbia.

"getting close kiddos" my dad loved roadtrips and was not in the least bit phased by this sudden change.
