Last year ko na dito sa Standford High. Graduate na ako this summer and all eyes are on me. Most of the people are expecting na ako ang Valedictorian sa batch namin and that would mean, me getting enough medals.

Ako si Cassy Stevens. Weird kid. Bookworm, matalino pero maganda. Pero wala sa isip ko ang lovelife. Wala sa isip ko ang maghanap ng lalaking magiging inspirasyon sa buhay. Bakit? 'Cause I have my parents and twin little brothers. They are my family and my inspiration. Enough na sila para sakin.

Alyssa Mendez was my best friend since childhood. Madalas siyang nagkakaroon ng crush sa mga hearthrob ng school namin. Best friend ko siya pero cousin ko din siya. Kapatid ng mommy ko ang daddy niya. Katulong nila mommy and daddy ang parents ni Alyssa sa pagme-maintain ng ikauunlad ng company namin.

Every month on a specific date nagce-celalebrate kami ni Alyssa ng monthsary namin. We always reminsce the times that we are together, bad or good ones to make us stronger in our friendship relationship.

"Lalim ng iniisip natin ah?" Tapik ni Alyssa sa balikat ko.

"Wala lang naman. Ang aga mo ata ngayon? Anong meron?" Tanong ko.

"May school event next month. Alam mo naman na kasali ako sa decoration committe. And nagagamit lang ang organization na yon pag may events sa loob ng school. They date will be three days prior sa monthsary natin. So I was like thinking, doon na lang din natin i-celebrate ang monthsary natin in advance and iwas gastos. May pupuntahan kasi kami nila daddy plano nating pag-alis on that week which is on the weekend." Sabi ni Alyssa.

"I know. Death Anniversary ni Lola Carmen, right?" Tanong ko.

She shrugged and then nodded. Halata naman sa kanya ang pagkabore tuwing pumu-pumunta sila doon. It was her mother's mom. Two yeara ago, nasa vacation kami ng malaman natin ang balita. Isa si Lola Carmen sa nag-alaga kay Alyssa when she was still a baby. Kaya naman sobra-sobrang paglukuksa din sila. We were there on that incident, we helped them as well para makabangon.

Ang dad ni Alyssa ay ang younger brother ni mommy. Bunso ang daddy ni Alyssa sa magkakapatid. Apat na magkakapatid sila mommy. Si Tita Marlita, si mommy, si Tita Amanda and si Tito Zeref.

Mababait silang lahat and they were all happy nung naikasal si mom kay dad. They didn't expected that a business-minded person fell in love with a beauty queen. Yup, you heard it right.

Beauty queen si mommy. She finished the course of Fashion Designing and everytime she has a new dress, siya rin ang momodel nito. And on some events nagpupunta sila sa ibang bansa and that's where she met dad. Dad attended one runway show sa ibang bansa and saw mom in an elegant dress. "Walang ligawan na nangyari," yan ang sinabi sakin ni mommy. "It's as if as nagusap lang kami sa mata ng daddy mo and there, you came out." Sabi ni mom. She was really laughing out loud at the same time reminiscing the old times on how mom fell for dad.

I want to find that kind of love someday.

Kumain kami ng sabay ni Alyssa sa bahay namin. She is fond of going sa bahay everyday para sabay kaming pumapasok dahil my parents and her parents are always in rush every morning to go to work. Sabay-sabay din silang pumapasok.

"Rolled omelets, hotdogs, fried rice and bacon?" Tanong ni Alyssa.

"Yup. Almost most of your favorite breakfast dishes." Sabi ni Nana Meng.

"Salamat, Nana! Tara na Cassy, eat! Madami pa tayong gagawin sa school today, remember?" Sabi ni Alyssa saka kumuha na ng ulam at kanin tapos kumain na. She always eats a lot but never goes too big, unlike other girls.
