The radio made a light noise, classic music were barely audible through the speakers of the car. Her hands were lighting holding the driving wheel of the automatic systematised car.
The darkness was laying their black velvet on the road in the middle of a suburb, the only source of light was the front set of lights of her vehicle.

Her eyes were gazing the endless road before them, the sleep is creeping its way to her tired body, she been driving for hours now and she probably should consider stopping by some motel and get some sleep, she fought the sleeplessness and shushed the tiredness she has to be in Jeju by tomorrow.

Her figures reaches for the radio to change the station, she pressed the required button before she was startled by something hitting the front glass of her car!

She pressed the brakes right away, almost standing to force the car to rotate around a center of the front wheels before the sudden motion stopped by the impact with a tree.

When she opened her eyes she looked to the front glass to see the horrific sight of blood splashed on the glass, her breathe was hectic with terror, she looked to the empty sight of the road before her eyes, she reached for the door freeing the locks before she opened with ease. The warning lights were flicking orange warningly along with the lightened front lights, the darkness and the silence were scaring her but what scared the most was what she was about to witness.

She saw someone laying on the concrete few meters away of her car:
"Oh, God!" She breathed in shock.

She hit someone, she just injured someone on that road!

She ran toward the body the car's light keeping a source of illumination to the dark suburb. She could see the back of his head, She knelt down on the concert too shaken to think rationally.

"Hey! Are you okay?!" He was clearly not, his crimson blood was oozing on the pavement and it was flowing faster than she can control.

She turned him to look to his face, she noticed the lesion on the side of his skull: "Hey? Hey, please- please open your eyes."

He didn't response to her pleadings, his head was resting on her thigh now as she tried to reach for her phone to call 119(1), she held the black small device in her hand as she tried to touch the green phone app with her shaking thumb.

"Hello, what's your emergency?" The woman on the other end spoke with a monotone, she sniffed when she said: "I hit someone on the road. I-... I don't think he's okay, he's unconscious and-"

She tried to mute her crying looking to the man who was laying there with no single move.

"Ma'am it's okay, I need to know where are you?"

"I- I don't know where exactly, it's a suburban road between Seoul and Jeju, I just passed by exit number 7 few minutes ago-... I-...".

"It's okay ma'am we are tracking your location as we speak. Can you check if the injured breathing?" She never thought of checking that, she placed a hand on his mouth and his nose when she realized: "I don't think he's breathing."

"Can you perform CPR?"

No, she wasn't sure. She never tried it before, she has no experience or education practice of first aid. But sure she watched that before.

"No, I- I don't but I- I can try." She hesitated, she wasn't really trained to do that. She was a prosecutor when the woman on the other line spoke: "Please keep the person on their back on rigid surface and kneel next to theirs neck and shoulders."

She moved his head gently to place it on the asphalt road, she took a deep and shaking breath sniffling as she listened to the woman on the other line: "Place the heel of one hand over the center of their chest, between the nipples, then your other hand on top of the first hand, make sure to use your upper body weight as you push straight down on the chest at least 2 inches but not greater than 2.4 inches."
