A concept is what you are,
A thief who stole my heart.
A ball of fire and energy, are you,
Something that brought me this far?
I lay down in mere silence,
As my mind wanders in total absence.
Reliving memories of the past, in life,
Is this what eventually happens?
It’s hard for me not to hope,
I’m a regular not a Pope.
If there were a reset button, would it,
Help me deal with this steep slope?
But it’s starting to fade away,
Good memories of that day.
Like sand it slips through my fingers,
Is this, what I feared to say?
But as I try to end this composition,
I make a startling observation.
If I had to live it again, with you,
I would, with all my determination.
