50. Gold Sarcophagus
Number:
SDCL-EN027
Rarity:
Common
Attribute /Card Type:
SPELL /Normal Spell
Description:
Banish 1 card from your Deck, face-up. During your second Standby Phase after this card's activation, add that card to your hand.Gold Sarcophagus lets you search for some of the best cards in the game to add to your hand. The only issue I have, which is a small one, is this card let's your opponents be proactive instead of reactive. Meaning that Raigeki that you searched for is now going to let the opponent know to play less creatures (They have to play one). However this is still a great card because there isn't anything they can do about your Pot of Greed, or Chaos Emperor Dragon that is waiting in the wings. There are also several strange interactions with the card as well based on the nature of the card's "banish face up" ability. This card allows you to use cards like D.D. Survivor, Return From The Different Dimension, Dimension Fusion, and see some cool synergy and interactions with each other. Imagine Fiber jar being flipped after this activation... Or even better Sarcophagus activation followed by Magician of Faith, then another Sarcophagus activation, then the Fiber Jar flip... That can be some serious value.
49. Cyber Dragon
Number:
BLRR-EN048
Rarity:
Ultra Rare
Attribute Monster Type/Card Type:
LIGHT Machine/Effect Monster
A / D:
2100 / 1600
Description:
If only your opponent controls a monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Some of you older players are probably wondering how this card got so low on the list, while younger ones are curious how it even got on the list. To my veterans, I would say to relax. We are gonna have some cards in this list that will make you fully understand why this card is barely here. To all of these new players with your pendulums, xyzs, multiple archetypes and god knows what will come out in the future, I would say for its time Cyber Dragon was a crucial staple of almost every deck. It was a simple free special summon that let me Sacrifice for Jinzo or Monarchs. Cyber Dragon also let me summon a 2100 ATK to kill their lesser monster, and then attack them directly with Don Zaloog, Masked Sorcerer, Yata Garasu, Kycoo, The Ghost Destroyer, or any monster with value damage. The scenario to Special Summon Cyber Dragon was almost always there. It always helped that it was a Light Machine which was VERY relevant at the time. There were also some cool fusion cards that it brought out such as Cyber Twin Dragon and Cyber End Dragon. I always summoned them with Metamorphosis (Which ill talk about muuuuch much later).
