~* Back in 8th grade, A.J. POV*~
"Come here." said Zach, my best friend. My name is Annabelle Jane or A.J. My hair is long and black my hair always falls on the side of my face while my other side of my hair is behind my ear.I have brown eyes. Zach has been my best friend since kindergarten. He has black hair, also and covers his eyes. HOT. He has blue eyes. Piercing blue eyes. I dont really know what love is. My mom and dad have really love, I see the way they look at each other, with fiery intensity. I wonder if me and Zach have that intensity. Maybe even stronger?
"Where are we going?" I say has he is pulling me to this big old tree that we used to hang out under all the time.
"You'll see."
We sit down under the big oak tree. Were quite for a few moments until I turn to him.
"Whats up?"
"A.J., remember when we put that frog in Miss Languads hair?" What did that have to do with anything?
"Ya I remember, you helped me with alot of pranks we have had some good times together." It was a hard long plan, but we stole the frog from the sixth grade science teacher and we almost got in trouble when Miss Languad wasnt looking we put it in her hair. She couldn't stop screaming. I chuckle to myself.
"Zach why are we-"
He put his fingers to my lips. When did he get so romantic? My parents have done that alot to each other. Then they start kissing. Which is gross. I do not need to be seeing that at the age of 8. I hope he doesn't kiss me, I have never been kissed before. I am in the 8th grade for crying out loud! Zach stares at me with huge intensity like deciding to kiss me or not.
I take his hands off my lips. I hear rustling in the bushes. Oh no. No one can see us we not even on the school grounds anymore.
I turn my head towards what is emerging from the bushes. Three guys step-out.
"Oh hello, what a nice little snack."
~*Zach POV~*
"Oh hello what a nice little snack."
Uh-oh I have to get us out of here. I dont know who these people are, but they do not look friendly.
"A.J. Run." I say in barely whisper.
"I'm not leaving you."
Does she love me? This isnt a time of thinking about love. I have always loved her.
"It's ok, just go."
"But-"
"RUN!!"
~*A.J. POV*~
"RUN!!"
I split up and run for the school. I see the three guys lung for Zach. I kept running. I ran into Miss Languad.
"MISS LANGUAD- ZACH- RUN- THREE GUYS!!" I'am really not the person that is good under pressure.
"Honey calm down what is wrong?" I told her the whole story except the romantic part. I'm not stupid.
Miss Languad called the police. Within minutes they were at the school. I ran with the police to where Zach and I were. There was nothing except for..
Blood.
I sat on the ground and I put my head to my knees, and started crying.
"Get her out of here, this is too much for one little girl!" said I guess the police man.
The ambulance picked me up. I was fighting the whole way to the ambulance car. Screaming Zach the whole way.
~*Zach POV~*
I heard her. I wanted to run to her, but I couldn't. They wouldn't let me.
"Will you let me go see her." I ask Jake one more time. He is a vampire. That's what I will be once I complete my change. Vampire.
"Sure kid once, she gets home, I'm glad you haven't acquired your taste yet. It would be messy.
~*A.J. POV~*
My parents drive me home looking crazy as ever. I grab my backpack and head up to my room. Today was one crazy day.
I open the door and sitting on my bed is
Zach.
I run up to him and fling my arms around him.
"Your alive!!
"Ya."
I punch him in the arm.
"Hey! What was that for?"
"You scared me half to death."
"You were scared?"
I nod. Blushing.
I sit on the bed next to him. Actually I lay down. It's not like we were going to do anything.
"What happened?" I say after long periods of scilence.
"I'm a vampire, that's what happened." Umm.. what the heck?
"Aren't you know supposed to wait like a few years before you tell someone that?" Usually people would start freaking out, but I'm not. Don't you trust the people you love?
"They said it was ok."
"They.."
"The vampires that are raising me. The people that emerged from the bushes."
"Oh. Can I meet them?"
"Not right now. You'll have to wait until then you'll be stuck with me."
"Joy." I say nervous. Does he like me?
"What your not glad to see me?" He says laying down next to me. Ok were 8th graders we still are not going to do anything.
"I am."
"Then why.."
'I like you ok. I just didnt know if you liked me back, and I guess I'm nervous if you will say no." I'am not one of those girls that beat around the bush. Bushes are for Losers.
"Of course I like you."
"Like- Like or just like."
" Definitly like like."
