Christine looked in the mirror, her wood coloured hair falling onto her shoulders in soft curls.
She put on her morning Estée Lauder face cream on and waited.
Once her fair skin had fully absorbed it, she blended in her NARS foundation and applied her long lasting Rimmel mascara onto her curled eyelashes.
She dragged herself to the kitchen and took her morning stress pills. She made herself a spinach and chocolate protein smoothie and poured it into her SpiritCycle bottle, that she used for her spinning class.
She was wearing her new Massimo Dutti blouse and a navy blue blazer, and had fit her naturally slim legs into a black Majé pencil skirt. She quickly slipped on her heels as she grabbed her smoothie and got into her gray Mercedes.
It had just been custom cleaned inside because the beige front seat had been stained with last week's goji berry, flaxseed and pumpking breakfast shake.
She drove quickly to the big building on Martial Street, and took the elevator to the 11th floor, where the NISSA, interior design company, she worked at's headquarters were situated.
|||||||||||||||||||||||It was the end of the day, and three starbucks plastic cups were falling out of the trash can in her office.
Sol, Christine's assistant, informed her that the last client would be arriving shortly for a consultation.Christine was busy fixing her nails when she came in.
"Hello" she mumbled in a small voice
Christine looked up at her and stood up so quickly she almost knocked her chair over. She was a small and adorable woman, with frizzy, bright ginger hair that was everywhere around her face.
Her bangs fell straight onto her piercing green eyes.
She had the face of a child (even though Christine knew they were about the same age), with a sly smile that was plastered on her small round lips but she still looked shy and reluctant.
Oh, and the freckles.
Freckles everywhere. I mean everywhere.
Christine was shocked by her beauty and she felt weird but she quickly shook it off.
She got out from behing her desk, approached her, and shook her hand.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Christine Desolles."
"You too. Valerie Meghart." Valerie answered with an endearing slight english accent, and barely concealed excitement.Christine sat her down and started asking her questions.
"So, what would you like to do?"
"I want to redo my whole apartment. I've had some bad times there so I would love to free myself from everything there and start again." she said enthusiastically, " Just a question. What is your favourite colour?"
"I particularly like yellow."
"So do I! That's so lovely."
She looked so much like a little kid that Christine almost cooed.
They talked about what Valerie wanted to change around her apartment as the hour flew by.Soon enough, Valerie left and Christine was left with her thoughts. Those would probably about a certain wild redhead.
