Thunder | Byun Baekhyun

The loud cracking noise boomed across the house, making June jump up from her deep sleep. She looked around and once again the booming sound was heard, making her jump once more. She quickly squeaked and ducked under the blanket covers and placed her hands over her ears, humming a random song to try and block out the noise. Even through her attempts to drown out the noise, the screams of sky were still able to slip their way into her covered ears.
Beside June, a russell was made, and a hum of questioning.
"Mmm. Baby?" Baekhyun called out and started to move his arms to his left trying to find June's body. His hand landed on her curled up body, and he slowly pulled the covers, revealing June.
"What do you think you're-" but he was interrupted by another clap of thunder followed by the room being quickly lit up with a sharp white light. June squeaked once more and ran under the covers of the blanket before getting pulled back up by Baekhyun.
He slowly pulled June's hand from her ears, and she slowly opened her eyes looking at him.
"Hey, you okay?" He whispered to her, tilting his head so their foreheads met. June shook her head slightly and took a deep breath. "It won't hurt you. I won't let it."
June opened her eyes and stared at Baekhyun, watching as his mouth was slightly open as he fell back asleep with his hands on her ears. Another crack of lightning shot through the room, and this time, June only whimpered. Baekhyun shot up once again, and looked at June remembering what situation she was in.
"It still scares me," June whispered. Baekhyun let out a low chuckle and sat up.
"Then come on. Let's go to the kitchen," June nodded her head, grabbed a fleece that was laying on the edge of the bed, and laid it across her shoulders.
They both walked out of the room and down the stairs hand in hand. Once they reached the bottom of the stairs, Baekhyun placed his hand in the small of June's back and pushed her to the living room.
"Go sit down. I'll be out in a couple of minutes." June nodded her head and pulled the fleece closer to her body. She walked into the dark room and went straight to the light switch. She flipped it but nothing happened. She stood there, flipping the switch on and off until she huffed.
"The electricity is out!" June screamed to Baekhyun.
"Yeah," Baekhyun mumbled. June started to walk around the living room, in a blind way, and looked around for the candles that she always had lying around. Slowly one by one she found, and lit each one, creating a romantic like scene.
"Hm. A nice scene for a not so nice night." June mumbled to herself and set the candles on the glass table and sat on the floor. She pulled her knees up to chest, and hugged them close. The house was quiet besides Baekhyun, who was in the kitchen looking through the fridge and the cupboards, and the occasional claps of thunder, along with the heavy rain that had just began.
A couple minutes later Baekhyun walked into the living room holding to mugs. Once he reached the light of the candles, June could see that he was holding her rarely used unicorn mug.
"Aw. Look at my baby girl looking all cute and cuddly." Baekhyun said in a high pitched voice as he sat next to her, and handed her mug. "Here. It's sleepy time tea. It should help you relax." June laughed and took a sip of her tea, before laying her head on Baekhyun's shoulder closing her eyes.
"Thank you." June said shyly.
"Why are you so shy now?" Baekhyun said as he set his mug on the floor and picked June up and set her in his lap. He wrapped his arms around her waist and laid his head on her chest.
"What are you doing mister?" June giggled and laid her arm around his neck and put two fingers under his chin, tilting his head up. Baekhyun looked up at June and slightly smiled before he started to lean in. June smiled as their lips met.
It wasn't like most of their kisses, this was completely different. This kiss was full of love, passion, and comfort and it was exactly what June needed. Baekhyun slowly pulled away and smiled at June.
"I love you," he whispered, and June just smiled widely and laid her head on Baekhyun's chest holding the warm tea in her hands.
"I love you too." She said back. Her eyes started to drift close, and Baekhyun noticed. So he took the cup of tea out of her hands, and pulled the fleece blanket around June, and held her close till he heard her soft snores.
Baekhyun kissed the top of June's head, and started to hum Thunder and rock back and forth, knowing that June would sleep better. After sitting in the living room for 30 minutes and Baekhyun knew June was completely asleep, and carefully picked her up and walked up the stairs, gently laying her in the bed and pulled the comforter around her. He crawled in next to her, as she turned her body to the point that she was no facing him and June wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling herself closer to him.
He giggled, and wrapped one arm around her waist, curling a leg around both of June's, and slipping his arm under her head using it as a pillow. Baekhyun started to hum once again, until even he, sang himself to sleep.

June woke up to the sunlight pouring in from the bay window. She stifled a yawn, and tried to sit up, only to be held down. She felt Baekhyun's legs wrapped around her's, than his arm that was slung across her waist, and finally, Baekhyun's head that was now buried into her back.
"Hm. Don't move. I'm comfortable." Baekhyun mumbled and pulled June closer. June turned to face Baekhyun and just studied his sleeping face. Slowly his eyes drifted open and smiled at June.
"Morning baby girl." he said and laid a soft and gentle kiss on June's lips. "You feeling better from last night?" He asked, the sleep still lingering in his voice, making it sound deeper than normal.
"Yeah. Thank you." June said and once again laid her head on his chest.
"Good. I love you babe."
"I love you too, Byun Baekhyun."

Jesus I loved writing that story so freaking much.
