yeseul grew up in her room alone, with her mom coming into talk every once in a while. she was a single mom and yeseul was her only child. she never wanted anything bad to happen to her.

growing up people watching from her window made yeseul notice everything about someone. like if one of their eyes is bigger than the other or how they had a freckle on their left elbow. she didn't have much else to do, and she had already watched every series on netflix. she thought it was a relaxing hobby and that it was cool how much you could learn about someone without ever saying a word to them.

one day, she obviously noticed how all the lights were turned off in the apartment across the way. just like before. she missed watching the old couple. she liked it when people were in love. she wondered what it was like to be in love. obviously, she thought that she would never find out.

she wanted to be like the couples in those dramas, like those couples that would walk in the open alley below her window, or even like the old couple who she saw everyday through her window. it would be so nice to grow old with somebody, to spend all your time with the person you love, to wake up and see their face. the face that you love. to only be with them, to go on adventures, just to love someone. she wasn't desperate. she just didn't know what it was like, but she really wanted to find out.
