TW: Lesbian Couple, Panic Attacks/Nightmares
I woke up and looked over to see her, the love of my life, she looks so small. I just watched her adorable face as she slept. When she sleeps, she looks so content, without her usual scowl on her face. I watch as her neutral face morphed into a smile, that's the biggest smile I've ever seen on her, she happily hummed as I assume she's has a good dream. After a few minutes her face became neutral again. I attempt to fall back asleep, when I hear a small whimper. I open my eyes to see my love tossing and turning. She's having a panic attack, while unconscious. I immediately jump into action and wake her. She bolted up, tears flowing down her face. I hear her whisper, "I'm so weak." as she turns away from me. She's curled up in a ball and shaking, I turn her around and hug her. "No you're not" I reassure her. I play with her hair while whispering sweet nothings into her ear, trying to calm her down. She stays curled up in my arms, after about 30 minutes, she's calmed down. "I'm sorry I woke you," she apologized. " it's quite all right," I assured her "I was awake anyway. I promise to protect you from whatever is distressing you." She looked at me with her red, puffy eyes, almost surprised, "you will?" She questioned. "Of course, I love you" "I love you too." "Let's try to sleep. Goodnight." "Night." And with that we fell asleep.
