#5: Lana

"What if my father found out what happened between the two of us?"

"No Lana, no. Leave this to me. Just promise me that you won't leave me. I'll prove them how much I love you."

"But--"

"Just leave this to me Lana. No one will ever set us apart again, I promise."

Jacob started to walk towards the direction of my father.

I'm nervous. What if he will do something to my Jacob?

I saw Jacob standing not far from where I was standing. He's looking at my direction.

I heard him shout something.

"Lana! I can still remember my promise that what ever happens, I will only love you. Lana, I'll prove to them that there's nothing wrong with us loving each other. I love you!"

I was taken aback by what he said. Something in his words send chills down to my spine but it somehow made me smile.

When I return my gaze to Jacob, he's not there anymore.

My forehead creased. He's quite fast.

A piece of paper landed on my arms. I took it and read what was written on it.

"Dear Lana, thank you very much for letting me prove to your father our love for each other. Lana, I will keep all the promises that I told you. I may leave you but you are the only one who lives inside my heart. Even in my last breathe, I will only think about you. So I will close my eyes with a happy heart. I love you Lana, no thing can compare how much I love you but I'm sorry if this is the last. My death is already waiting in front of me because of my love for you but I will accept it. I love you to the fullest, Lana."

My tears flow down my cheeks because of what I learned.

My Jacob who I am talking to a while ago is gone.

He passed away two days ago.
