Before I begin uploading the chapters of this story, I thought it would be fair to familiarize you with the characters that will be the "mainies," if you will, of the story.

First and foremost, we have Draco Malfoy. Many of you are familiar with him already, but to those who aren't, let's give you a little background information. Shall we?

This story obviously takes place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Unlike most children at Hogwarts, the only word Draco ever heard from the Hat was “Slytherin!” Not that he had ever had any doubts on the subject, considering who his father is.

People always gave Draco a harsh name because of his lineage. Nobody really gave him a chance and all everyone ever heard when his name was brought up was "Malfoy." They decided that with that surname, they could easily judge him before knowing who he truly was.

In this story, Draco will be 17 years old. He will be in his seventh year at Hogwarts and will be discovering his true identity- not what everybody has labeled him to be.

The second character that I will be introducing to you is Erika McGinty. She has never shown up in a Harry Potter book or movie, for all you lame kids who chose not to read the book.

She is a "mudblood." Her parents were not into magic and so you can imagine the shock that came upon her when she was eleven and got her acceptance letter. She derives from Dublin, Ireland and has a very strong Irish accent.

After hours upon hours of sitting with the hat on her head, and bouncing back and forth from all four groups, the hat finally decides on Slytherin for her as well. She's a very quiet girl, but once she opens up to you, there aren't any like her. She's very determined to do well in school, she's the "Hermione" of Slytherin, you could say. She's very intelligent and dangerous when you put a wand in her hand.

The difference between Draco and Erika is simply that she's more mousy and kind-hearted when you are on her good side, while Draco is very combative even with his friends and he seems to be very cold-hearted. Of course, there's the fact that Draco hardly even acknowledges that mudbloods exist, completely not to his own fault, but because of the way he was raised.

Join in with me on this incredible journey of self-discovery, hardships, friendships being put to the test, and most importantly, falling in love.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own the idea of Hogwarts, Draco, or the classes that they will be taking. I only own the plot idea, Erika, and the added in characters. Don't sue me. :)
