Chapter 7: The First Quest

It's been about three days since I joined Fairy Tail and i've gotten to know a few more people. Elfman who looks kinda scary but is actually really nice and is Mira's younger brother, Lucy who is really nice and uses celestial magic, Nala who is actually my older sister along with Natsu who is my older brother.

Then there are the people I decided not to talk to and instead learn about them at a distance, like Loke... he doesn't seem like someone im going to like very much, he's acts like a playboy who is continuously hitting on any girl he sees. (He freaks me out...) Luckily i've been able to go about unnoticed most of the time or happen to be in a conversation with Lucy whenever he actually notices my presence. She's turned into my shield of protection over the past few days since he seems to be scared of her.

I've also managed to get that apartment I was looking at with the help of Mira, she helped me with all the paperwork and protected it from the constant fire being shot everywhere by Natsu and Nala. It has very little furniture, pretty much only the essentials that were gifted to me by Nala, along with a large portion of the jewels I needed to rent it for the first month. (I'll pay her back when I can)

It's late and i'm in my room reading a book when I hear pounding on the balcony door. I look around terrified only to find out that Its Natsu and Lucy. I get up and walk over to the door and open it.

"What are you doing out so late and how did you get on my balcony?" I say groggily.

"GUESS WHAT THORN WE ARE GOING ON AN... S CLASS QUEST!" Natsu says as he jumps up and down.

"Wait what, how did you get that?" I say as I suddenly find it more urgent to stay awake.

"He's dragging us along, we are going to get Nala and Gray too." Lucy says sounding as tired as I am.

"Aye sir!" A blue cat with wings says as he flies around Natsu.

"Wait where did the blue cat come fro-"

"Hi im Happy, your Thorn right wow I can't believe Natsu has another sister!" The little blue cat says a little too enthusiastically.

Wait am I even awake since when do cats talk and are blue, let alone fly!

"Come on!" Natsu says as he grabs my arm and pulls me over to the edge of the balcony. Happy picks up Lucy first and flies her to the ground. Then one by one we are all taken safely to the ground and Natsu draggs us to what I suppose must be where Nala lives. Its a two story gray and white building about as big as mine. Natsu opens the door that appears to be unlocked.

"Umm Natsu are you sure she would want us in here?" I say nervously.

"Yah shes chill about it." He says calmly. That only makes me more nervous Natsu being calm... that meant he's got this all figured out and planed.

"HHHYYY YYYAAAH!" Natsu yells as he kicks open the door to that I think is her bedroom. Oh no we're screwed... Inside is a closet, is a desk with picture of Nala, Natsu and who i'm guessing is Igneel, a shelf with sewing marital and pictures of designing ideas strewn about as if someone had been hastily digging through them.

"Once again I ask are you sure it's safe to be in here?" I say while scanning the room. Then I find Nala sitting on the balcony going off of her room. At the sound of Natsu her head whips around to stare him in the eyes.

"Remember what I said about this being safe..." Natsu says while shrinking back from Nala's glare.

"Yah you muttonhead now she's mad!" I yell as Nala comes in from the balcony and smacks Natsu upside the head.

"WHAT THE H*** ARE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM!" Nala yelled into Natsu's face.

"Do you think we should make a run for it?" I whisper into Lucy's ear.

"I don't think we have the time..." Lucy says worriedly.

"Oh you two are in here..." Nala says disapprovingly.

"Natsu is dragging us along a quest to the cursed Galuna island." Lucy says.

"WAIT YOU NEVER TOLD ME THE ISLAND WAS CURSED LET ALONE WE ARE GOING TO AN ISLAND!" I yell at Natsu and Lucy.

"Great now they are both mad!" Natsu yells as he attempts to make a run for the door.

"RUN!" Lucy shrieks as she runs after Natsu. Nala and I exchange glances are we bolt after Natsu and Lucy.

"What on earth is going on, is Erza back or something?" Gray says as Natsu and Lucy run past.

"DON'T GO THAT WAY GRAY THAT'S WHERE THE MONSTERS ARE!" Natsu yells as Nala and I run past Gray.

"What did you to make them so angry!" Gray shouts at Natsu while following behind us.

"We broke into Nala's house!"

"We did! Natsu you dragged me into this mess!" Lucy yells

"WHY IS IT ALWAYS MEEEEEEE!" Natsu yells as he hides inside an alleyway between two buildings.

"Natsu come back will someone please explain what's going on!" Gray shouts in Natsu's direction.

After a while of chasing and grabing and interrogating we had the whole ordeal sorted out and things were back to what you might be able to call "normal". We talked about how we are going to go about taking an S class quest. An S class quest is a quest only S class wizards can take. And the four of us aren't S class with the exception of Nala. Nala wont tell me how she became an S class quest and insists that it is a story for another time.

We decide that if we are going to go on this quest we have to go NOW or The master will find out we broke one of the biggest guild rules there is! I'm a little scared to break the rules for I had just joined the guild and it probably wouldn't be too hard for the master to kick me out entirely. But the thing is I can't let some of the only family I have left go running off to their dooms. Another problem with me not joining them is the fact that Nala will be too busy trying to protect Natsu from whatever might be out there that she would most likely forget about her own safety. Maybe me being there as well might ease that stress.
