To say it was a miracle would be an understatement.
Somehow Ian was able to win the war with his depression and get out of bed. This week has been his lowest in months. He didn't know how much more he could take. No amount of material possesions, money or fame could fill the gap in his heart.
On his daily commute to work his mind continued to tortue him. Images of his ex-girlfriend sleeping with someone else and memories from his previous relationships flashed before his eyes. He gave a little attention to the way he was driving his Rolls Royce, and more effort to trying to give his head a break. A useless task though. No amount of alcohol consumption could drown his head out.
"...I will always love you." the radio sounded.
The sounds of the song instantly grabbed his attention. As if the song had layed its metaphoric hands on his shoulders to pull him closer.
Why did it catch his attention though?
"As long as long is, I will always love you."
This was the song that Ian and Sarah had danced to the night they started their relationship. It was at that moment - realizing that it was their song playing - that the flood gates had opened. Down came rain and river of tears.
"Sarah" he mumbled to himself "I want you back."
Sarah was the missing component.
