Aleks' POV
I opened my bedroom door, sleeply walking downstairs to the bathroom. I turned on the taps for the sink, placing my toothbrush under the water for a breif moment. I placed the toothpaste onto the toothbrush and brushed my teeth. I put down the toothbrush and walked out of the bathroom, heading into the kitchen and grabbing a box or cereal from the cupboard.
"Hey, Aleksandr! What're you doin' up this early? You usually sleep in" I
turned around to see James, and I placed the cereal box back down and leaned against the kitchen counter
"I wanted to get to the office a bit ealier today, I need to edit some Sims."
James nodded and headed towards the fridge, grabbing a Mountain Dew
"So, you're driving me today to right? Cause yesterday, you left me here, and I had to take a taxi to the office."
I started to laugh a bit, while I walked over to the cupboard where we kept our dishes
"You were taking to long! I told you I didn't wanna be late."
James opened up his Mountain Dew and took a long gulp, before placing it down on the kitchen counter next to me
"Yeah, whatever. I'm getting a ride with you today whether you like it or not Alekandr"
I poured my cereal into my bowl and grabbed the milk from the fridge, pouring it into the bowl right after. I walked over to the drawer where we keep our silver wear, and grabbed a spoon, walking back over to me cereal and picking it up.
"You better be ready when I am then, else I'm leaving without you"
I gave James a slight smile and walked back upstairs to my room, shutting the door.0
"James! Are you ready? Let's go"
I grabbed my sweater and put it own, parshly zipping it up. I slipped on my shoes and grabbed my keys to my car.
"Yeah, I'm coming"
James walked down thestairs, rolling up the sleaves of his hoodie to his elbows. He stuff his phone into his pocket and put on his shoes
I grabbed the door knob and opened it, seeing that it was pouring rain out
"Oh, for fucks sake! Goddamn it!"
I shut the door as soon as James got outside, andI ran to my car, quickly getting in and shutting the door. James go into the passengers seat and put on his seat belt.
"I hate being in a car when someones driving in the rain. It makes me feel uneasy"
James ran his fingers through his hair, looking over at me
"You think I like this shit?"
I started the car and backed up, turning on the heater shortly after. I started driving towards the office, hoping to get there soon. As I was approaching the last turn, I realized the road was blocked, and stopped my car.
"What the fuck?!"
A police officer came up to my car, and I rolled down the window.
"You're going to have to use a different road, this one's blocked off. There's been an accident"
I nodded and rolled my window back up, heading back towards the house.
"James, can you see what other road we could take?"
James nodded, and quickly took out his phone. Opening up the Google Maps app and searching for another way to get to the office.
"We have to go right, then take a left , and then just go straight from there. It's gonna take a bit longer though"
I sighed in frustration then nodded. I drove down the roads, and about 45 minutes later, I pulled over to the side of the road.
'Why the hell're you stopping?"
"James, there is no way it takes this long to get to the office. Are you sure you read the directions right?"
James, took out his phone again and opened of th app.
"I don't know.. I don't know how to read maps very good, you know that"
I grabbed his phone and looked at the directions, quickly thowing it back at him
"You're so fucking dumb James! You read the wrong thing!"
I opened up my car door and stepped outside, walking towards the gas station. James followed me shortly after. I bought a case of beer, and James bought a rockstar.
"Aleksandr! You can't drink while driving"
I put the beer in th back seat and got into the drivers seat, turning on my phone and going to the Maps app.
"I'm drinking it when we get to the office- if we get to the office. You're making me frustrated"
James laughed and got into the passengers seat. I looked on the phone and got the directions to the office.
"It's going to take about an hour to get there now. God damn it James. Might as well call Jordan, and tell him we're going to be late"
James picked up his phone and dialed Jordans number. I started driving again.
"Hey, uh, Jordan?"
"Yeah? What is it"
"Uh, me and Aleks to a wrong way, we're going to be a bit la-"
James put his phone down
"I think the cellphone tower went down"
"Wait, what?"
"It cut off"
I looked around me, and realized that the power had gone out everywhere around us. I pulled into ta parking lot adn parked the car.
"What the fuck!"
Authors Note: Alright, So I know this was kind of a long-ish chapter, but this'll probably be the length for most chapters. I'll try and update this as frequently as possible. This will be a NovaHD story, but I didn't wanna rush it like most people do (No offense). Hope you enjoyed this!
