Kaori walked a step to her right and the ground collapse right under her. "Oh.... Fu--" Kaori started but a tall blue-cloaked figured grabbed her hand. Kaori could only see the figure's hands. They were slender Caucasian hands covered in dirt. The figure pulled Kaori out of the hole. 

"You okay?" The figure asked in a calm, collective tone. 

"Yeah..." Kaori looked confused. "Who are you?" 

He took off the figure's hood and the boy smiled. The figure had short curly brown hair and dim brown eyes behind a pair of glasses. "Tobias," Tobias sighed. "Promise me you won't tell a soul that you saw me, okay?" He stared at her straight in the eyes. 

Kaori nodded confused. "I'm Kaori..." She looked back at him. "Why can't I tell anyone? Electra misses you!" 

"Electra..." He frowned, "Kasa wants the people under the surface to forget us." Tobias smiled. "We're not really normal human anymore." 

Kali woke up on a bed in the Nurse's office of the school. "Huh?" She looked around the room. 

"You awoke." The purple-cloaked stood in the dark side of the room. "Go back underground." 

"WHY--" Kali yelled at the figure. 

"Lilith is dead." The figure bluntly stated. "Go home." 

Kali eyes widen. "But..." 

Ding! An instant message appeared on Kali's computer.

Sender unknown: 'Don't worry. I am still alive. I do not have a lot of time to explain but I miss you. I want to see you before I die from radiation.'

Kali gasped. 

"When the bomb hit, on of the three could have happened: you die, you turn into a mutant, or third..." The figure's voice trailed off, "you gain a power..." 

"A power," Electra asked while walking to the nurse office with Zagan right next to her. 

"Yeah..." Zagan sighed, "It's something that sounded awesome in ninth grade but there was a on the surface... Fuchan, Shimo, Kaze, and me where fighting an enemy." Zagan kept on walking and clenched his fists tightly. "We lost." Zagan hid his face. "We weren't powerful enough. Our enemy did something to us as a punishment." 

"What," Electra asked. 

"We lost a characteristic that made us human." Tobias sat in the cafeteria with Kaori. 

"May you please explain to me? I don't quite understand. You are breathing and obiviously have an heart beat, right?" Kaori asked Tobias. 

"Berial lost the ability to feel warmth, cold, and anything else that touches him or is around him." Tobias started. "I lost the ability to eat. Fuchan lost her emotions. Kaze lost the ability to speak and Kasa lost her soul." 

"Her soul," Kaori asked. 

"It's basically a combination of all of them and also she lost her memory." Tobias stated. "She's a walking weapon."

"Don't worry..." She spoke softly, "There's bound to be a cure." 

"I'm staring to wonder if there is..." Tobias sighed depressed. "I prayed everyday for this life to be a dream." 

"Really Zagan," Electra looked at Zagan in pity. "You can't feel warmth of even someone touching you?" Electra's eyes were full of sorrow. She touched his face and he looked away in shame, "or evening hugging, kissing, or love?"
