~15 years later~

"Mom! See you later!" Cherise shouted as she waved to her mom, then kept running.

"I'm late, I'm late! The teacher's gonna kill me!" She thought out loud. Cherise had brownish black hair that flew around in the wind. She had slightly unkempt hair, and it wasn't

neat, yet couldn't be called messy.

Her feet slapped against the pavements, her bag bouncing irritatingly on her back. She sprinted towards the school as fast as her legs could carry her. Just a few more blocks...

"And where do you think you're going, dear?" A melodious voice came out from behind her.

"To school! I'm late!" Cherise said, shyly.

"Oh.. Then I suppose you wouldn't be able to come see my shop, would you? I'm sure you'd love to. There are many interesting things there." The strange voice said.

Cherise knew she had to go to school, but what was wrong with taking a look at a shop? It couldn't take that long.. After all, maybe she could buy something cool to show her friends!

And with that, she followed the lady in a daze.

When they arrived at the 'shop', Cherise was surprised to see it was basically a mall, a Greek themed mall. Greek pillars stood around them on the first floor. Upon closer inspection, Cherise could see the intricate designs hand-carved onto the pillars.

"Come, dear," the lady purred. In a daze, Cherise followed her.

"Oh, wow.. I'm sure my friend would love this.." Cherise said, motioning to a small jeweled bracelet.

"Ah, that's a legend, it is. I'm sure we could work out a price. Maybe.. A few years of servitude?" The strange woman laughed like it was a joke. Cherise simply laughed along with her.

"Yes, dear. Though it is not a joke. Think of it as a two-in-one special eh? This lovely bracelet for a once in a lifetime to work for the one and only sorceress Medea!" The old peasant robes the old lady was once wearing melted away, and in their place was a shimmering gold drees. The lady was not even old anymore. Her wrinkles and age spots (AN: is that right?) faded into flawless skin.

"The two Greeks and the roman have once defeated me, but never again! You, dear, will be forced to serve to me forever!"

"Really?" Cherise said, still in a daze. Then, her mind started working as she thought hard at the name 'Medea'. Sorceress? What? Her mind flitted through all the different stories she knew and settled on one.

"Medea.. The argonauts! You burnt down Jason's palace! But.. How are you even alive?" Cherise wondered.

"Tch. To think you broke out of my spell. Now, dear, this proves you to be exactly what I thought you are! My my, you are so old, yet still alive! What a miracle!" Medea laughed. "Now, dear. You said your friend wanted this? I'm sure she would love it. You want it, no?" She said, melodiously.

Cherise felt a strong urge to say 'yes', and she fell into a daze again.

They came across a bookstore completely filled with books.

"Wow...so many books..." Cherise trailed off.

Why was that word still lingering inside her head? It was as if she had forgotten something important.

Books...

" Oh my gosh. I'm late for school! I totally forgot. I'm sorry, I really can't stay. I swear the teachers will have my head for this. I'm so sorry!" Cherise exclaimed.

She then went, running in the direction she had came from, ignoring the protesting 'COME BACK's from a certain charmspeaker. And all she could think of was: this is a really weird day.
