Introduction: This is an alternative conversation and ending to the moment of the episode 21 of Orion. (Really this is all headcanon, almost every part of the conversation, any similarity was just the inspiration to make this. I didn't / hadn't watched the episode with subtitles yet when I wrote this.)

After they had finished talking with their old friends, the Outei Tsukinomiya members, Nosaka and Nishikage have a delicate talk.
While watching their friends playing, Nosaka starts mentioning some moments from their past, when they worked for Ares and had to follow orders.

- Nishikage... can you imagine what would have been like if I hadn't survived?

Troubled with the sudden question of Nosaka, Nishikage stays silent while looking into his friend's eyes.

- Right... - Nosaka closes his eyes, but opens them again. – I lied to you all the time... you wouldn't know it was because of Ares.

- Nosaka-san...

- When my mother abandoned me to stay in that orphan-

- Nosaka-san!

Before Nosaka could finish his sentence, Nishikage calls him, but Nosaka doesn't even blink. He closes his eyes prepared to hear his friend say it one more time. The truth is, the emperor was tired of hearing Nishikage say that he would be there for him, there are many things he still doesn't tell Nishikage and Nosaka doesn't understand how he still didn't just abandon him like his mother in the past.

- Nosaka-san, you're not alone. I know I've said this before but... - Nishikage stands straight, turning his body to his friend. – I'll follow you wherever you'll go!

- Ah... – Nosaka sighs. – I got it Nishikage, you'll be there for me... You don't have to keep repeating yourself, do whatever you want. - He says in an ironic tone. Nosaka starts laughing.

Mad at seeing how Nosaka didn't take him seriously, and having had enough of always being ignored by the pink haired boy, Nishikage finally makes a move. Holding Nosaka by his jacket, the taller boy pushes the other who falls on the bench behind him. Not letting go, Nishikage stares deeply into the eyes of the shocked boy in front of him.

- Nishikage, what are-

Interrupting once again, Nishikage puts all of his feelings into words.

- Listen here! I'm not joking, Nosaka-san. You are not alone, you hear me?! – Nishikage breathes out now that he has caught the attention of the boy. – Since the moment you came back... no... after you told me all the truth... it's like you have been holding on to something, like you were afraid that I would abandon you. – he makes a brief pause. - I would see how you talk to Ichihoshi... and the rest of the members... that's not the Nosaka Yuuma I know! When you lied to me, to everyone that you weren't fully cured from your tumor... Everyone was worried... I was worried about you! How long will you keep lying to yourself Nosaka-san?! – Noticing that Nosaka wasn't looking at him, he pulls the shorter boy closer, the boy's lips were trembling. – Nosaka-san! Please... no... I beg you to trust me! I would never, never betray you!

After a few seconds, Nishikage lets go of Nosaka. He picks up his bag, turns and notices that his friends from Outei were staring.

- Nishikage... - murmurs one of them.

The taller boy ignores the looks and continues walking, leaving Nosaka thinking. A tear falls down from the emperor's face.

Anyway, I was writing this when someone translated to me the original scene in the anime, and now I have a total different perspective of their relationship, but anyway, hope you enjoyed this little fanfic.😅
