"See you oppa! I'll be back later!" Maein shouted out through the dorms. She was headed to dance practice, her members probably waiting for her.

Debut was finally nearing and they were practicing long hours to perfect all the moves and get all angles right.

After those seven years of hard work, it was finally paying off.

Itzy would debut as a five member group, their concept was striving to be different and unique. Their title track Dalla Dalla was a bop, if you asked Maein. She may be biased by the fact that it was partially her own production, though.

But not only Itzy was debuting soon, Tomorrow by Together was too, meaning that besides working hard for her own debut, Maein was working hard to perfect their songs as well. Not even counting the fact that it was her boyfriend debuting at almost the same time as her, making them competition for award shows.

That would most likely not actually mean much to them, though. Their relationship had been going strong for more than a year. Beomgyu was always really sweet, he tried to make as much time for her as he could without neglecting practices.

Their one year mark he had gifted her a sweet silver necklace, it didn't cost much, with his trainee income, but it was just enough to give the message.

She only took it off when absolutely necessary, it was the first gift from someone outside Bangtan to give her anything, it held an extra special place in her heart.

Arriving at practice Maein immediately set down her bag and got to work, her members were already there, stretching, so she quickly followed their example.

"Okay, let's run through it first, see if there are any big mistakes overall." Yeji ordered the girls as soon as they were all warm.

As a group there weren't any big mistakes. Some angles weren't perfect, but everyone knew the choreo and the positions were executed greatly.

They went through the steps at least a million times before they broke off the practice, going back to their respective dorms to get some sleep.

In the dorms it was dark, BTS was of course always busy, but it seemed like most of them went to sleep at a reasonable time that night. Of course, that meant everyone except Yoongi, who was in his room working on music.

Light came through the crack under the door, showing Maein he was indeed still awake.

"Oppa~, what are you working on?" She whispered, walking up behind him.

"Hi Mae. Just the finishing touches for our next album." Yoongi smiled. He always had a soft spot for Maein, as did pretty much everyone she worked with. They had seen her grow up. From that eight year old girl, 122cm in height, to a confident sixteen year old girl, almost reaching him with 168cm.

Although Maein was a strong, confident girl, she loved cuddles, so as soon as she walked into the room, she walked over to sit on Yoongi's lap. As it was such a regular occurrence, he immediately put his left arm around her waist, using the other to hold his mouse.

"Can I hear?" Maein asked with puppy eyes, she knew it made him weak.

"Fine." He laughed softly at her tactics, before pressing play on the first song of the album.

They spent an hour listening to the songs, Maein giving her opinion here and there, before they decided they should in fact go to sleep, it was far past midnight now and they both had a morning practice scheduled.

Besides that, Maein had a date with Beomgyu that evening too, a reason to sleep early, to not look bloated.

In the beginning, a lot of people were against their relationship. Mainly Jin, Yoongi and Bang Shihyuk. Beomgyu was almost two years older and Maein was only fourteen at the time. But they tried their best to prove they could could work and the guys decided to trust them for now.

Shihyuk had agreed to lift his dating ban, only if he promised not to hurt her or it would be back in action before he could say anything.

Falling asleep in her own room normally didn't take her long, but for some reason she couldn't slip off to dreamland today. She kept turning, thinking. She kept thinking of different clothing options for the next day. Deciding she couldn't fall asleep until she had done something with her thoughts, she got out of bed.

Opening her closet she started picking out outfits that could work for the date. She didn't know why she was so nervous, it wasn't their first date after all. Maybe it was because they hadn't seen each other for a long time or because Beomgyu was getting more publicly known, whereas she had an even bigger spotlight on her because of her idol debut, something she had speculated as a wish many times before in interviews for her dramas.

By now she had played in a whole lot of shows, dramas and movies. She had been a special MC on ASC a few times too, resulting in becoming close friends with Kevin, Jae and Jimin, even though they were multiple years older than Maein.

Her savage side helped a huge amount with that, making her feel right in her place between Jae and Jimin especially.

After going back and forth for a while Maein finally decided on something to wear, laying it out on her chair before climbing back into bed.
