I had just finished my last day of year 7 (A/N that means she's 13) and I was pumped for a summer full of surfing. I absolutely love living in Australia and I never want to move. I got home from school and found my parents sitting at the dining room table looking serious.

"Oh no, what have i done!" I say, but they just shake their heads and smile lightly.

"Listen, Liv. I just got a new job in America. We are going to have to move there." My dad says.

I can't believe it! We can't move! It's to great here!

"NO!" I scream, "WE CAN'T MOVE!"

"We have to honey, we are leaving in two weeks." My mum says.

"TWO FREAKING WEEKS! WHAT!" I say. Two weeks? Seriously!

"We think that this will be good fun for you sweetie. Start saying goodbye now and packing."

"Where in America?" I say

"North Carolina." My dad states.

"We need to talk to your brother now, so go."

I return to my room and go on my phone and call my best friend Sophie.

"Soph!" I say while crying, "Immovingtoamericaintwoweeks."

"Pardon?" She says

"IM MOVING TO FREAKING NORTH CAROLINA IN TWO WEEKS!"

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!"

"Nope. Sorry. Okay I gotta go now see you soon."

"K. Bye." She says. I can tell she's being crying.

I get out of bed at 3 am for our 5 am flight. I'm not really like normal teenagers and I like early mornings. I guess that's what surfing does to you. I walk in to the bathroom to have a shower. In the mirror I see a 5'4 girl with long sun-damaged blonde hair. I see tanned skin and sad, broken hazel eyes.

After my shower I get dressed into sweat pants, my ICEA shirt (look it up) and uggs. I put a beanie on my head and pack my back pack with: my lap-top, my Ipad, my iPhone 5s and my book. I grab my suitcase and guitar and take one last look at my house for one whole year. Sigh.
