"Yeah, I want to break up with you. Sorry love, I just don't think we're working out." Jungkook said with absolutely no emotion in his voice. The two were sat down on a bench. The sun had almost disappeared. Jungkook held a sort of bored look on his face.
"No." She finally said. How dare he. She thought. The audacity, for Jeon Jungkook, to break up with her when it had barely been a week. He was the one who made the move first, so why was he ending it so soon? Oh no, she wasn't going to have this.
"What?"
"You're not breaking up with me."
"Listen, y/n, I don't think you get it. I don't want to be with you anymore."
"Jeon Jungkook. You are the school's playboy. Running around with a new partner every week and then breaking their hearts when you get bored. Well, I'm not having it. I have a plan. One month. I have one whole month, thirty days, to make you fall in love with me. If that doesn't happen, then you can leave. Deal?" Y/n proposed.
Jungkook took some time to think, then smirked. "I must say, you're a feisty one. Deal." He said.
"Great." Y/n smiled. "Day 1 will start first thing tomorrow."
And with that, y/n kissed Jungkook on his cheek, stood up, and walked away. Jungkook only sat perplexed, yet still a smirk creeping on his face.
- the next morning -
At six in the morning, Jungkook groaned as he heard loud knocks on his front door. He slowly got up, pulling a shirt over his collar bones, the edge falling past his tight set of abs. Opening the door, the one who stood in front of it was none other than y/f/n.
"Good morning." Y/n smiled brightly.
"It's fucking six in the morning." Jungkook groaned. "I told you. First thing in the morning." She replied. "We don't have time to waste," y/n said as she invited her self in to his apartment, grabbing everything Jungkook needed.
"Let's see... keys, jacket, wallet, gum..." She threw all of the items into Jungkook's hands then continued to go in his room. Y/n grabbed a pair of jeans and three them at his feet, yelling, "Put these on and let's hurry up and leave!"
Jungkook sighed, taking his shorts off and pulling the jeans over his toned thighs. He put all his things into his pockets and ruffled his hair.
"Ready?" Y/n smiled. "As ready as someone can be in a span of less than three minutes, yeah." He replied.
"Okay, great, lets go!" She pushed him out his door and ran down the steps as he struggled to lock the door while still catching up with her.
"Why are we running so fast?" Jungkook yelled from behind, y/n running quick down the sidewalk.
"The bus! It's going to leave, look!" The city bus seemed like it was just about ready to leave, the last person running inside.
"Shit." Jungkook sped up a little faster. Thankfully, y/n had yelled loud enough for the doors to open back up again.
Y/n traveled through the bus hurriedly, grabbing hold of the rail above her. She looked up at Jungkook. "We made it."
"I -he paused just to process what was happening- I woke up fifteen minutes ago. This is the shit I have to go through?" Jungkook complained.
"Whatever, you'll like where we're headed anyway."
She replied. "And where is that?" He asked."You'll see."
"You know I-" Jungkook started. "-don't like secrets, I know. Get over it." She finished.
"I, wow, okay, kinda rude."
"Says the boy who wanted to break up with me after only dating me for six days." Y/n retorted. "Fine you win." Jungkook said, getting quiet.
And then the two stood quietly, the small chatter of bus talk and music coming from a schoolboy's high volumed headphones. The ride wasn't too long, about twenty minutes or so, when y/n excitedly patted Jungkook's shoulder repeatedly. "It's our stop." She hurriedly went towards the doors, thanking the driver before stepping off.
"We're here!" She looked back and smiled.
"The beach?" Jungkook lifted his right brow. "The beach. C'mon, lets go!" Y/n yelled, running fast towards the shoreline, her sandals flinging off her small feet, toes touching the warm sand and water.
Jungkook groaned while running to catch up to her, wondering how this girl had so much energy in her at seven in the morning.
He only let his feet touch the very edge of the shoreline, waves of water touching the tips of his toes every once in a while. It was nice, he had his eyes closed, letting his face be kissed by the rising sun, hearing y/n's little laughs and splashes from afar.
Opening his eyes, he saw y/n twirling around, dancing in the water, her skirt pulled up to her mid thigh, head leaning back, laughing as the sand and water tickled her ankles.
Jungkook wasn't going to lie to himself, he did think she looked beautiful in that moment. The sun against her skin made her glow in an ethereal way. Her smile and laugh was a delight to his ears, eyes filled with happiness. He thought it was cute how little it took to make her happy. But of course, he'd never tell her this. He wasn't going to lose.
Suddenly, he was pulled by his arms, further into the water. "Stop being such a party pooper and staying by the shoreline." She told him. The two were now knee deep in the water.
Hair wet, skin glowing, eyes sparkling, y/n looked up at him, her dimples creating a cute crease on the sides of her cheeks.
"Why do you look like a wet rat." Jungkook said.
"...the audacity of this little-" Y/n said under her breath. "That's rude you prick."
"Wanna break up with me?" Jungkook blinked, smiling innocently. She rolled her eyes. "Day one has barely started, of course not. You and I are getting through this together. And just because I brought up this challenge doesn't mean I like you. I just want you to realize that playing around with people's emotions isn't morally right or kind."
"Really?" Jungkook smirked. "Really." Y/n replied, eyes narrow. "Not even if I do this?" Jungkook asked, his hands resting themselves on her waist and cheek, lips pressing against hers. Her eyes seemed to widen twice its normal size, as Jungkook continued, slipping past her lips, his tongue skillfully making its in. They were now chest to chest, and in moments
y/n finally broke themselves apart in slight embarrassment and shock.Faces just inches apart, Jungkook lightly hummed, waiting for an answer. "N-no," Y/n replied with shakiness in her voice.
"Hm, me neither." Jungkook replied with a smirk.
Both were lying, because deep beneath their chests they could both feel the thumps of their hearts quickening as they stared into each other's eyes.
