It's been a week since Gregson and I went to go visit his parents. He seemed really sad for a while after that but as the days went by he picked up his humorous happy self again. So much so that he is forcing me to hang out with him and a few of his football and cheerleader friends. I usually hang out with them at school, never in my own time. We are all (about eight of us) seated at a booth at the end of a coffee shop. It's honestly the coolest coffee shop I have ever seen. On the back wall- right next to me- the lyrics of Bohemian Rhapsody are painted out in red. There is also another wall covered in chalk writing of poems. I read some sonnets on it but there are also some things that seem like they are original. Stacey- on of the cheerleaders- said that customers can ask for chalk and write anything they want if they can find an empty space. Currently there is a ladder so people can reach the top parts because the bottom is pretty packed.
I'm still looking at my menu when our waiter comes over. Every one places their order and I start panicking because I have no idea what to order.
"What will it be Hannah?" the waiter asks me. Wait what? My head snaps up to look at this waiter who knows my name and my eyes are met by the dark brown eyes of Marco Neil.
He has an expectant look on his face as if he's waiting for me to say something. Oh yes my order. I scan the menu again then I turn to Gregson on my left.
"What did you get?" I ask.
"Bacon and egg sandwiches with fries." he says.
"I'll have the same." I turn back to Marco.
"And to drink?" his voice is really deep- I never knew that. Then how could I since I've never had to talk to Marco. Which brings to how he even knows my name. I mean I know his name because he is famous for beating up people in alleys but me? My school is huge and I'm one of those blenders so I don't know how he would know it.
" A sprite and a coke." I say. He nods and takes the menu's from us.
"That boy is beyond yummy!" Stacey says to a girl named Rebecca.
"I'd rather order him off the menu" Rebecca agrees.
"Hey hey, not cool!" Joshua, a football player says.
"What?" Stacey says with an innocent smile.
"You don't mac on some guy when you are hanging out with other guys." a guy called Andrew answers. I've never liked Andrew Colsten. He has a typical jerk personality- it's like he read a lot of teenage books with arse holes in them and does his best to emulate them. He is a fucken Joffrey! "You girls should be looking at the merchandise you have in front of you right here." he licks his lips. I roll my eyes and excuse myself.
Gregson hold my wrist to stop me but I motion to the poetry wall and he releases me. Gregson is like that, he has always worried about me. He fancies himself my protector- he even made a pact with my bbrother Matt when we were around eight years old that he’d always look out for me.
I don't think of you,
why should I?
The pain in my chest,
tightens,
its shouts,
screaming for me to listen.
Its ringing rips me apart,
