two years ago, her life was a mess. half broken from the powers of her metahuman brother, a known member of the light, semi-homeless and feeling abandoned by the one person she calls family, roy harper, quinn-rose was not in a good place. the events that led to her quitting the team, which was created for covert missions by their mentors, were sudden and shocking.
to help her stay under the radar, she lived on the road with a travelling circus as a tightrope acrobat, moving across the country, out of the way of detection. during her absence, she fell out of touch with everyone she knew, and changed into someone that would be unrecognisable to them.
called back by dick grayson to help stage an intervention for roy, quinn-rose decides to stay to help with the ensuing alien invasion (though not only for that reason). but in her decision to remain, she finds things have transformed and there are new members of the team who only ever heard legends about the 'white valkyrie' and her skill with a bow and arrow.
however, she is different too, not the same person she was she was when she left. now known simply as 'valkyrie', a darker, resilient version of her younger self, who is a stranger to many who knew her. horrors lurk in her past and in her mind, and they threaten to push her over the edge.
but there's a fine line between flying and falling.
