Realization

Jak's POV

I feel warm like really warm. I move around a little and feel an arm around my waist. I freeze the person whos arm is wrapped around me groans and moves. I hope its my mate and not some random person. My heartbeat starts getting faster and my breathe gets short. The person next to me sits up and I start getting dizzy they wrap their arms around my waist and pull me closer.
"Shhh its okay mate its just me."
I hear my mate say and sigh in relief relaxing into his chest.
"How did you sleep?" "Good. You?" "Great thanks to having my mate next to me." I blush and he says "ready to eat little mate?" I nod my head then hear a yell from the room next door. I think about whose room it is and remember that Nick and his mate are in there. I bolt up along with Lukas and run to the door, the others are on their way as well based on the thundering sound of feet running down the halls.
"Nick it's Lukas and Jak we are coming in."
I walk through the door first and see Bri, Nicks mate pressed up against the head board Nick three feet away from the bed holding his hands up in an attempt to prove shes safe while shes bawling her eyes out.
"Bri!" I say " Bri its Jak. Breaf"
She nods her head and takes a few deep breaths when shes calmed down Nick goes to sit on the bed but she flips out whimpering and pressing herself against the head board.  Tears gather in Nicks eyes as he backs up until his back is against the wall and slides down putting his face in his hands.
"Hey Bri I sit?" She nods and I slowly walk over sitting down on the bed.
"What wrong Bri? tell me."
She looks at. Lukas who nods his head she sits up straighter then whispers to me but with our werewolf hearing everyone here heard
"It like fore. I woke up in bed in shirt, he no on hes like him." Emphasizing the him in reference to our old alpha. Nick whimpers and sags his body and I see tears rolling down his cheek.
"No. No. Bri he is no him. He no hurt you he no"
"Why no he?"
"Bri you mate he love you he no hurt you."
Lukas grabs Nick by his arms and pulls him up pushing him towards the bed. Bri whimpers and Nick tries to walk back but Lukas pushes him forward. Nick takes a deep breath and says
"That's why you screamed?"
Bri nods and Nick drops to his knees grabbing her hand kissing it than says
"Princess I would never do that. That would kill me. I love you princess I promise you that always."
She smiles and he slowly stands up then slowly pulls her into a hug I take that as my cue to leave. I pull Lukas out and into the kitchen.

Nick's POV
I wake up to whimpering. I turn over and see Bri my precious little mate whimpering pushing herself against the headboard with tears in her eyes. I sit up and reach my arms out slowly to her and she screams and starts sobbing pressing her frail body hard against my headboard. I look down and realize I fell asleep in just basketball shorts and her one of my t-shirts. Oh God!! i'm scaring her. I get up and slowly climb off the bed and step back a couple feet. I put my hands up trying to show her I am no threat but she sobs harder. While trying not to burst out into tears I hear
"Nick it's Lukas and Jak we're coming in."
They walk in and Jak sees what's going on he says
"Bri!" "Bri it's Jak. breaf"
She nods her head and I go to sit on the bed but she flips out again so I backed away until my back hit the wall and slid down putting my head in my hands. I hear Jak talk. He says
"Hey Bri I sit?"
I am guessing she nodded her head because I hear Jak move over to the bed and I have to hold back my wolf from growling at the young omega. He starts talking again
"What's wrong Bri tell me?"
There is silence for a moment before I hear her whisper
"It like fore. i woke up in bed in shirt and he no on hes like him." Putting emphasis on the "him". I whimper knowing shes comparing me to that worse less excuse of a man that was her alpha. Jak says
"No. No Bri he is no him. He no hurt you he no."
She whispers
"Why no he?"
Jak says back in a soft voice
"Bri you mate he love you he no hurt you."
I hear footsteps before I am being pulled up and pulled towards the bed. Bri starts whimpering so I try to walk back but Lukas pushes me back. I take a deep breathe and say
"So thats why you screamed?"
She nods I drop to my knees in front of her grabbing her hands and say
"Princess I would never do that. That would kill me. I love you princess I promise you that always."
She smiles and so I slowly stand and pull her into a hug. I hear Jak and Lukas leave so I say
"I am going to kiss you now." I pause and she tenses and I can feel the anxiety and fear rolling off of her in waves so I quickly reassure her
"I promise it's just a small kiss if you don't want me to say no or push me away. Just a small kiss nothing else I promise."
She nods as I slowly lean in shes relaxed a little and my lips just barely touch hers and she whimpers and tenses. I bring one hand up to cup her cheek and hold her hand with the other. I press our lips together just a little harder and hold them there for a second before pulling away and looking in her eyes. She pulls away and nods her head looking down. She reaches for the hem of her shirt as she slowly falls down on her knees. She starts to pull her shirt up and I fall to my knees next to her. I gently take her hands into my own and say softly as not to frighten her
"Hey. Princess what are you doing?"
She says emotionlessly
"You kiss me. You want body, it my job."
I'm horrified did I make her feel like this? Still holding her hands I back away a little giving her some space.
"Bri what are you talking about its your job?"
"You kiss. You need sex. It my job"
I feel disgusted in myself I feel anger, disgust, and hate run through me. She whimpers and pulls her hands out of my grasp then quickly pulling her t-shirt off and bowing her head while on her knees in a submissive position. I grab my shirt she took off her body and say as I move closer to her to try and put it back on her
"Hey no. No!"
She whimpers and quickly stands up and turns around putting her hands on my bed while kneeling on the floor presenting me her back. I quickly walk over and touch her shoulder. She jumps but stays in this position then says
"I am sorry sir please punish me for my unacceptable behavior." I let my tears flow. I quickly pick her up scaring her and set her on the bed. I quickly put on the shirt and pull her back in my arms on the bed resting my back against the back board. Shes practically shaking with fear. I say
"Princess take a deep breathe. You are not there. I am not him. I promise you. It is not your job to please me or serve me. You are more valuable and high a higher rank then me in my eyes. I do not need anything else and I am so, so, so sorry I scared you and made you think those God awful things . I beg of you please forgive me?"
By the end I am crying and she tilts her head up to look at me and asks
"You not mad? I no serve you?"
I say with as much emotion and love as I can to get her to understand
" No princess I promise you just because I kissed you I wasn't asking for anything else I just wanted to show you how much I love you. I am sorry I scared you."
She asks me
"Why kiss?"
I sigh remembering she wasn't taught how we were growing up so I say gently
"Bri when you kiss someone it's usually to show how much you love and care for them the same with hugs and holding hands. That monster hurt you and told you lies to scare you. I promise you I will never ask for anything from you that you don't want. I know you are not ready for mating and marking and that is okay I promise and if you are not okay with me kissing you or hugging you or holding your hand its okay i promise i understand."
"You do again?"
"Do what again?"
"You kiss me"
"Are you sure? There is no pressure only if you want me to kiss you."
"Say what doing first?"
"You want me to tell you what I do first. Explain it first?"
She nods her head and goes to say something but snaps her mouth shut looking down.
"Bri what were you going to say? It's okay you can tell me. I won't get mad I promise."
She hesitates for a second then raises her head and says in a timid voice
"S...l...ow...ly?"
She winces and I hold in a chuckle realizing she wants me to go slow.
"Hey princess I will go slow and explain it all to you. You don't have to be shy about it. I understand you are nervous and scared but it's okay I am your mate I will never judge you."
