Chapter 1 //

I politely waved goodbye to the grumpy bus driver and stepped off into the cold night wind. I just got off work. Took the bus home and I knew it was late. I work at the gas station with soda. I've had a crush on soda for like ever! I silently started walking home, keeping an eye out for any Soc cars looking for trouble. It was about 10 minute walk to the Curtis's house and I walked sluggishly to take up useless time. As I walk, I always think about dumb things. So does perfect phase what my life would be like if mom and dad were still alive. There is a hole in my shoe just dumb things. I kicked a rock laying on the sidewalk it shattered into the road, breaking the silence of my thoughts. I started to walk a little slower. I kinda dread going back to the Curtis's house every night, even though soda and pony are there, only because I have a secret very very big secret.

(Ponyboy P.O.V)
" Ugg where is she?" I say inside my head she got off work at 8:45 PM. Why isn't she home by now? I ran into the kitchen to ask my older brother Darry, hey" where is y/n?" I said to Darry. He raised the corner of his mouth slightly and responded. "I'm sure. She will be back very soon." I walked back into the living room to watch some Mickey Mouse while I waited for y/n. I couldn't help but be nervous for her after what happened last September with her and the Socs.

(Darry P.O.V)

Where is the little bastard? Taking our time while we just sit around and wait for her. Ugh I'm gonna slap her so hard when she gets home I bet she was beaten by the Socs again, why do they get to have all the fun? I was careful not to say this out loud nobody can know that I hurt her especially not ponyboy.

(Your P.O.V)

As I approach the Curtis's house about 20 minutes later than usual, I take a deep breath in and out 1... 2... 3, go!" I said quietly to myself, I run up the stairs and open the door. I immediately see my best friend Ponyboy jumped up of the couch and brush over to me. I call him and he calls me. Your nickname. He looks worried." OMG ! Y/n nickname where were you? We were all worried, sick!" pony said I shattered a little at the words all." ALL" I said inside my head all of them were worried? Even Darry who slaps me and kicks me and whips me when he's mad?" I don't think so." I say to myself." sorry I got off on the wrong stop and had to walk further." I lie " oh y/n it's okay next time call we will pick you up" Pony said to me, I'm not it slightly at Pony. Darry then asked to talk to me in the other room. I was so scared of what he would do then I see Soda step into the living room, so warm smile and soft eyes, lighten the moon and gave me a warm tightly feeling. Gosh he's perfect!

(Sosa's P.O.V)

I heard Y/n come inside and I can finally stop stressing about where she she was. I'll admit it. I blushed a little when I heard the door open? I walked into the living room to see Darry and y/n walking into the room next-door to chat I gave her a little smile and I watched her cheeks turn red. Gosh so beautiful her long brown wavy hair and greyish eyes she's fierce but sweet and could make any guy greaser or soc fall in love with her I begin to feel my face get hot and I rush over to join Pony on the couch.

(Darry P.O.V)

Jesus, she's finally home. I can't wait to just slap some sense into her staying out late doing whatever she wants. I don't think so. "Y/n can we chat in the other room, please." I made sure she knew I wasn't messing around.

Your P.O.V)
As Darry took me into my bedroom, my stomach turned. I felt like I was gonna puke." so what did you need to tell me?" I asked weekly. Darry begin yelling at me I could feel the slap coming a mile away, but I zoned out and tried not to think about it. I closed my eyes and pictured so smile last summer when we all went down to the lake that was during the good times when mom and dad were still ali - *SLAP* I fell to the ground, dazed and confused I had realized Darry hit me hard. I immediately grabbed my cheek and felt the warm blood sleep through my hand. I started to whimper, but tried to stay strong and show no pain. I close my eyes and try not to think about how bad it hurts.

(Darry P.O.V)

When we stepped into her room, she asked me what I needed to say?" I responded." what I need to say was..." I started yelling at her, not really realizing what I was actually saying." I'm sick of your crap so you will obey me. You got that.?!" I yelled at y/n. Y/n didn't respond! You got that!!" I yelled louder. She was completely zoned out. I slapped her face hard." that'll do it." I thought the ungrateful peasant to respect me. She fell to the ground and blood begins sleeping out of her right cheek. She deserved it before she could say anything I said to her quietly." and if you ever think about telling Ponyboy, Soda, the gang or the fuzz, I will kick you out of this house before you even know what happened to you." she began to say something, but she made a smart choice not backtalk me. I lay her on the bed close the door and headed to the living room to make up an excuse to tell the boys. My blood was boiling before I had calm down a bit.

(Your P.O.V)

I was laying on the floor and could tell I was very weak. I look up and heard Darry say something about kicking me out if I told anyone he hurt me I was thinking of telling him off, but I stopped. No matter how horrible. Darry was I needed a home food and to see soda and pony I felt very tired. He laid me on the bed and I stayed there with my hand still covering my cheek. He shut the door and I heard him walk away. Darry had hit me and kicked me before but this time was different this time. He meant what he said he didn't care about me at all. He wanted me gone. I have to tell someone I thought to myself I could tell Ponyboy maybe Soda?" NO." I thought they would never believe sweet old Darry would hurt me." I will tell the cops." I decided then quickly decided not to I would tell about I'm a greaser and the fuzz gonna do nothing for a greaser in this part of town.
