A sleepless night

| Tony live with Pepper in his new house in Manhattan which is few miles away from Avengers tower and Steve live alone in his Brooklyn home. Tony & Steve are dating for 2 years and now they love each other so much & they often meet at Mr. Marvel's cafe & sometimes at Avengers tower only if there is any mission. They often talk in phone at mid night when the whole world is in deep sleep |

*TONY AND PEPPER ARE MARRIED FOR 3 YEARS*

Tomorrow is Steve's birthday.
(Time: 9:50 pm
Tony and pepper are having dinner)

"Tony, What are you thinking about?" Pepper asked.
"Umm nothing.." Tony replied
(A pause for seconds)
"Bacon is so good" Tony said suddenly
"I know" pepper said
(Tony looked at Pepper and smiled)
(A pause.
Tony looked down and started cutting bacon with fork and knife)
"You know Tomorrow is Steve's birthday" Pepper said & looked at Tony.
"Oh really, I just forget his birthday. Haha" Tony laughed and said.
"Oh, I remember you forget our first anniversary too" Pepper said.
"Sorry honey, I was so busy and it's just skipped from my mind, you know" Tony said.
"Mhmm well, I'm going to sleep. Are you coming?" Pepper finished her dinner, stand up and asked Tony.
"Not now, I need to work on a project" Tony looked at Pepper and said.
"You can do it tomorrow" Pepper said.
"I can but I'm actually not feeling sleepy" Tony stand up and said.
"Okay at least finish your food" Pepper said.
"No, I am full for now" Tony said
"Okay, as your wish" pepper said.
"Yeah Good night, honey." Tony smirked and said.
(Pepper leaves the room & Tony goes downstairs in his laboratory)

Tony picked up his phone and start writing a birthday message for Steve & saved it in notes.
Now he opened his laptop and start searching a gift for Steve online.
(After 30 minutes of searching)
Tony shut down his laptop and he is so tense because he didn't find anything good for Steve.
(Time: 12am)
Tony send Steve birthday message on WhatsApp.
He is waiting for his reply.
(After 15 minutes)
Tony is still waiting for Steve reply. His eyes are on notifications bar.
(Time: 12:25am)
Tony decide to call Steve. He take his phone and start dialing Steve's number. Bell is going but no one is answering.
(After 5 minutes)
He dialed his number again but still no one is answering his call.
"Oh Steve where the hell are you" Tony murmured anxiously.
His eyes are on notifications bar.
(Time:12:50am)
Tony again dialed his number & again no one is answering his call.
Tensed Tony put his phone on side table & started roaming here & there.
(After 10 minutes)
Tony check his phone again and he notice that Steve read his message but he didn't reply.
It makes Tony more anxious.
Tony again dialed his number and this time his call was declined.
"Steve, you can't do this with me" Tony said having tears in his eyes.
(Time: 1:25am)
Tony drink some water and decide to take some sleep. He go in his room and lay down beside pepper who is in deep sleep. Tony close his eyes & try to sleep. After 2 hours he suddenly wakes up, gasping and stand up from bed.
He dreamt something bad, something very bad which he never want to dream again in his whole life. He saw Steve make love to a stranger.
Tony go downstairs and drink 3 glass of alcohol.
(Time: 4am)
Having 4 glass of alcohol in his hand, he check his phone from another hand and still there is no message of Steve.
Tony drink that 4th glass of alcohol too and falls on the floor.
