You are rushing over to the building of the swimming section, even though it is still early to bring your little sister back home. The sun is scorching and you only hope to find a shelter inside the facility, and, of course, it'll make your sibling's heart bloom if you are watching her swimming.
You enter the lobby and greet the receptionist, then you walk up the stairs where parents and relatives of the children attending the swim section are usually watching from. You put your rucksack down and put your palm flat on the glass surface, looking for your sister with your (eye/c) eyes.
The rapid breaths escaping your lips die down, returning your heartbeat to its usual pace. You finally spot the little girl in the swarm of kids and start waving whilst a wide smile is staining your face.
"Hayato!" Someone yells beside you like there was no tomorrow. Their voice rings through your eardrums, causing you to cover up the shells of your ears and squint your eyes. You turn to face the loud person and see no other than Kisumi Shigino waving his hands at his little brother, who also happens to be in the same swimming section. The two of you have known each other since middle school, but you're not sure whether he remembers you at all.
"Just when I thought you couldn't get any louder, Shigino." You shoot him a hospitable smile.
There's confusion written over his face before he finally gets a hold of who you are. His mouth opens and eyes blink rapidly. "(f/n)! You've changed a lot!" He grins.
"You too." You chirp, recalling the Kisumi from middle school, he had always been extremely popular with girls and you would never understand why, but now you see it clearly. His curly, peach-coloured strands of hair are beckoning one's fingertips to run through them, his captive, purple eyes that shine with glee give off warmth and a feeling of comfort. The things you found annoying about him have never changed, however.
In front of you is standing the same, talkative and over-friendly boy, he has never once hesitated before slinging his arm over one's shoulder and ushering them into a chat. He's done that to you too before, but you were not keen on reacting to his insolence.
The four of you, including the younger siblings, end up stopping at a playground where kids decided to play while the two of you are sitting on the bench and are engaged in a mere conversation.
"Remember in middle school how you pointed out that my name sounded like "kiss me" in English?" He ponders out of the blue.
You shudder for you know you have certainly not said anything of this kind to him. "I've never said that." You object, a tint of red covers your cheekbones.
"Really?" He closes the gap between you on the bench and brushes your (h/c) behind your ear. The blood rushing to your cheeks gives them a solid colour and you try to back off, but he seizes you by the back of your waist, not giving you room to escape.
"What are you doing?" You ask, averting his eyes.
He points your chin up, making you look him in the face. He smiles softly and enunciates, "Say my name."
Your lips curve downwards and you try to direct your regard elsewhere. You know he's about to make a bad joke again, and so do you know that he is not going to give up until you finally say his name.
"Kisumi." You literally grumble, swatting his hand off your waist.
"Okay." He nods and suddenly presses his lips against yours, giving you an unexpected kiss.
You sit still for a moment with widely open eyes. He pulls back, looking you in the face, then a cute chuckle escapes his mouth. "Kisumi-nii just ate that girl's face!" Shrieks the younger Shigino, pointing his index finger at the two of you.
You laugh softly and tell the two kids to go on the slide. Once you're out of their vision, you bring your face close to Kisumi's and plant another kiss on his lips. The kiss is long and warm, your lips moving synchronously with his' as you drape your arms around his neck. He hugs your waist and brings you closer.
"(f/n)-nee and Kisumi-nii are eating each other's faces again!" Your little sister and Hayato sing in unison, waving their hands from the top of the slide.
The two of you immediately break apart and blush uncontrollably. The time came to bring the kids home, Kisumi has already ushered Hayato back and is now seeing you off. You approach the porch of your house and your sister runs ahead of you, storming inside the house.
"Thanks for walking me home." You tell the peach-haired boy. He nods, his usual smile still present on his face.
As he starts walking away, you remember to give him your number. Spinning on your heel, you call, "Kisumi!" Once you turn around, the boy pecks your lips again.
"Sure." He laughs and starts walking away. "I'll see you tomorrow!"
That's right, there is still tomorrow, you will meet him at the swimming center again. But truth to be said, you're already thinking of making up a nickname for him.
