A/N: Jaxon x Norah, enjoy!

I was walking through the halls, until I felt a hand lace through my fingers. I looked at Jaxon, raising an eyebrow, as he just kept a smirk on his face. "What?"

He looked at me switching from a cocky smirk to a sad pout, "Is that all you have say to your best friend, Norah? It's finally the end of the day, and the guys wanted to go home! Let's get some ice cream, yeah?"

I shrugged, "Okay."

As we walked, for some reason, Jaxon didn't let go of my hand. I didn't put too much thought into it, because it's Jaxon we're talking about. He thinks this stuff is normal for best friends to do. His hands were really warm, it made me feel safe.

After a while, as he talked my ear out, I couldn't help but notice that he kept fiddling with my ring, as if it was bothering him.

"Hey, is my ring bothering you?" I asked. He visibly tensed from the question, but shrugged it off and plastered a smile on his face. I didn't want to know this, but I knew the smile was fake.

"No, I just really like playing with rings," he told me. I nodded, letting the conversation drop.

We entered the ice cream shop, the smell of different ice cream flavours filled my nose. I smelled the shop, closing my eyes as exitement filled me.

Jaxon tugged on my hand, making me snap out of my thoughts and walk towards the line. There weren't many people in the shop, just about ten or more in total and only three people in line. I asked Jaxon if I could get cookies and cream, he smiled in return and nodded.

"Hi, welcome to the Frozen Spoon. What can I get you two?" The cashier asked, giving us both a friendly smile.

"I'll get the classic, Rocky Road. Medium and in a cone please," Jaxon told him. He smiled, and I squinted at his name tag, finding out his name was Max.

"And for your lady friend?" he asked, chuckling. I couldn't help but feel Jaxon squeeze my hand tightly, giving Max a forced smile.

"She'll have Cookies and cream. In a cone too," he looked at me and raised an eyebrow.

"Small," I told Max. He nodded, ringing up the order. Then he went over to the side to fill in the cones with our ice cream. Once he finished, he gave us the ice creams and Jaxon have the man ten dollars.

"Thanks!" I said happily, licking the ice cream. Both Jaxon and Max laughed, as we walked away. Jaxon opened the door, leading us to the nearest park. We sat on the bench, watching some kids play around.

An old couple was sat on the bench beside us. The lady turned to us and smiled, "What a cute couple. How long have you guys been together."

"Oh, we--,"

"A year," Jaxon told them. I looked at him with furrowed eyebrows, confused as to how he said that so casually. "We've been dating for a year." He avoided my eye contact, staring at the elderly couple with a nice smile.

They both smiled, "I hope it goes well." The man told us. Before I could say anything, Jaxon quickly replied with a 'thank you' and grabbed my wrist, pulling me along with him. He lead us all the way to the field, where no one was seen.

"Jaxon! Slow the hell down!" I exclaimed.

That's when my ice cream fell. I gasped, a frown slowly making its way to my lips. He stopped dragging me, and looked down, pursing his lips nervously. "Look what you've done!" I said angrily, clenching my fists. "Why'd you say that to them?"

He didn't say anything, instead, he pushed me onto the bench. Then, he plopped himself on my lap. I watched him weirdly. "Okay, this is getting weird--,"

Before I could finish my sentence, his hand reached up to the corner of my lips. His thumb rubbed the spot, then he brought it to  his lips and licked it. My jaw fell open, my body instantly heating up. "I'm sorry."

I didn't say anything. When he noticed my facial expression, he sighed and hugged my tightly. I hesitantly wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer. "I-I can't do this anymore."

"Can't do what?" I whispered back softly.

"Be your friend," he replied, and my heart beat sped up. He then let me go, slowly removing his ring. "I can't control my feelings." He told me, his gaze not leaving mine. My head pounded, several emotions filled me as I watched him throw his ring to God knows where. "Norah..."

"Yeah?" I asked, my voice coming out hoarse from the close proximity. He leaned closed, if that was even possible, his breath smelling like rich chocolate.

"Can I kiss you?"

I didn't say anything, I just closed the gap between us and let his lips move against mine. He tasted like chocolate, making me pull him closer against me. He let me go, both of us gasping for air. "Don't make me do something I'll regret, you're going wake up Jaxon Jr." He cautiously looked down.

I gasped and hit his arm. He chuckled and hugged me one last time. "Can you only be my princess in shining coffee?"

"Of course Jaxon."
