The Horse Farm

Nash's POV

I stroll out of science class when something catches my eye. Cameron is walking out of math class but here's the crazy part. Lilly is walking by his side. Here's the Even crazier part. She's actually laughing. I start walking faster to hear their conversation. "You really did that?" Lilly giggles. "Well.... I mean... I didn't have a choice!" Cam laughed. "K well I'll see you later, bye lil." "I'm lil now?" She smiles. "What? Don't like it?" He grins and runs off. I quickly swoop next to Lilly. "So... Us vine kids aren't that bad, are we?" I playfully hit her. "Yeah. Maybe you and Dallas aren't too bad." She looks up to me with her beautiful green eyes. The bell rings and signals that school is over. I grab Lilly's hand. "Come on. I want to show you someone." We run through the halls bumping into people who are talking noisily. Even though you can't hear it. I can tell Lilly is laughing. We sprint outside and my eye spots her. The girl runs up to me and I pick her up spinning her around. "Hi. Nashie." She hugs me. "Lilly, this is my sister, Skylynn." I look at Lilly and her eyes widen. "Nashie, is she your girlfriend?" Lilly goes a little red. I shake my head and chuckle. "No. She's a.... Friend." Lilly seemed to flinch at the word friend. But she quickly recovers and puts her hand out. "Hi Skylynn." She flashes one of her best smiles. Skylynn reaches her tiny hand and puts it in Lilly's. "Do you by chance like.... Horses?" Lilly seemed to put a little magic on the word horses. Skylynn starts wiggling in my arms. "YES!!! I wuv horsies!!" She screams. "Woah!! Calm down sky." I laugh. "Well. Skylynn. I actually have my own horse. And if you want to... You can come with me and ride her. Would you like that?" You can tell that Lilly is really good with kids because every single word just sounds like a

an adventure. "Of course I would wuv to go!! Can I? Can I? Can I?" Sky turns to my mom behind us and puts on a puppy dog face. "Awh. Why not?" My mom says. "YAS!!!! Nashie you have to go with me!! You just have to!!" She starts to squirm in my arms. "Sure." I say. "I'll go."

Lilly's POV

When I saw how good Nash was with Sky, I just wanted to melt. All this time I thought Nash and Cameron were really cocky and there I was. Watching Skylynn's eyes fill with love when she sees Nash. I thought I had to make it up to him somehow. And I got the perfect idea. Sky should come to my ranch. And plus, Hazel (my horse) needed some company. So Nash led me to his car and I got in. All the way we played these tunes that shouldn't even be on the radio. The songs were so terrible that sometimes we couldn't even sing them, we were laughing so hard. When we finally got to the ranch it looked as if Skylynn was going to faint. I laugh and bring hazel out in front of sky. She looks up to it in awe and hugs the horse tightly. Hazel nuzzles sky gently. "Now do you-" sky cuts me off. "Yeah I know how to ride. I'm really good with horsies." She declares. "Ok. Well do you need help or do you want Nash and I to just watch?" I must've looked worried because Skylynn assured me she would be okay and with some help from Nash and I, she got up on the horse. We step back and it was like she was a natural or something. She rides on horses with such confidence. And it looks like Hazel is having a good time too. "So... Nash, I just want to say I'm sorry." I say. "Sorry for what?" He looks confused. "Well.. You know... For... For being a total jerk in the beginning. I judged too quickly and when I saw you pick up sky and the laughter in eyes.. I just.. I just felt really bad." Silence fills the air. I look at his eyes to search any sign of emotion. And then something happens that I would've never guessed. Nash pulls me in for a kiss. And not one of those sloppy kisses. A real kiss. His soft lips touched mine and it felt like electricity was sourcing through my body. I didn't actually process what was happening until he put his hand on my neck and pulls me in for a deeper kiss. "Uh.... Guys?" A familiar voice says.
