-2 Years After College-

     "Kawaii Chan! Your food is burning!" A worker yells.

     Kawaii Chan squeals and runs into the kitchen, taking a pie out of the oven. "Aw man, Kawaii Chan burned someone's pie.." Kawaii Chan cries.

"That's alright! Michi is already handling that!" Michi says confidently.

Kawaii Chan sighs in relief and takes a seat. "Michi Chan, thank you so much! Kawaii Chan was so busy with this rude customer, she completely forgot!" Kawaii Chan says thankfully.

"Hehe! You just need to be more responsible like me!" Michi says with a cocky smirk. Kawaii Chan feels her stomach drop in embarrassment and she looks down at her feet. She hears a bell ring on her phone and she hops up.

"Kawaii Chan's shift is over! Bye bye Michi Chan!" Kawaii Chan cheers before removing her apron and running off.

     "Hello Katelyn Sama!" Kawaii Chan greets, sitting down on a bench in the dance room.

     "Oh! Kawaii Chan! You're already off from work?" Katelyn asks, snapping out from her thoughts.

"Yep! Michi Chan and Kawaii Chan switched shifts!" Kawaii Chan explains.

"Oh ok."

Kawaii Chan notices Katelyn's somber mood and tilts her head.

"Katelyn Sama, what's wrong?"

Katelyn sighs deeply and runs her fingers through her hair, pulling it behind her ears.

"Jeffory and I broke up during graduation because I just thought he was too nice and he didn't deserve someone like me. You would expect me to be fine, but he recently got with someone new and it's just strange I guess.."

Kawaii Chan smiles and hugs Katelyn tightly.

     "Katelyn Sama, you'll be alright!"

     Katelyn smiles and watches the door waiting for Aphmau, but looking away when Aphmau isn't there.

    "I guess she's going to be late! Let's work on picking a song without her I guess!" Katelyn decides, grabbing her phone and scrolling through it.

    Kawaii Chan leans against a wall and kicks her legs, watching them sway back and forth. She sways her tail on rhythm with her feet and the corners of her mouth begin to elevate.

    Katelyn plays music in the background, knowing Kawaii Chan will get restless from waiting. The music plays loudly through the speaker, it plays, "Somebody That I Used To Know" by Gotye and Kimbra.

     Kawaii Chan taps her toes with the beginning instrument and slowly rises from the bench she was sitting on. Her feet move slowly with the music and her face seems emotionless.  Making up the steps in her head, she slowly builds up her dancing, throwing in new moves. She'll try to spin or jump, but she just falls. Not because she's bad or anything, but that's what she was feeling.

     Energy overcomes her as the chorus begins. She expresses pain and betrayal through her moves. After the chorus, her feet weaken and her body sags. She continues dancing.

     Katelyn looks up at Kawaii Chan dancing and silently laughs to herself. She continues scrolling, but looks back up once the song builds up again.

     "But I don't wanna live that way,"

     "Reading into every word you say."
