It was a rainy Sunday morning, the clouds were as dark as the night sky with the rain shimmering like stars, pretty surprising for the end of the summer holidays. I slowly woke up, batting my eyes. "Ugh, what time is it? I better not be late for school..." I tiredly said, yawning and not thinking straight "Wait, I forgot that it's the summer holidays! Woohoo!" I suddenly realised that this is in fact the last day of the holiday, and a gloomy frown casts on my face.
I checked my phone for the time; 9:32AM. I think to myself 'Well, it is kind of early, so I guess I could get a few hours extra sleep.' As soon as I dump my frizzy brown hair and fluffy white-tipped ears on my pillow, a loud fast-pace thumping of footsteps could be heard coming towards my door. It then burst open revealing my bright white smiled mother, dressed in a black tight pencil dress, red lipstick, with too much pale foundation on and tied up brown hair.
"Mum! What the heck?" I screamed still being surprised of the loud awakening of the door's surprisingly loud noise. "Oh, you're probably wondering why I'm all dressed up today, aren't you?" She chirped with her glistening smile "Yes, because it's a Sunday morning and you've dressed up like you're going to a funeral! Well, apart from the red lipstick." I yelled, sitting up in my bed. My Mum straightened up her back, and politely said "I'm going for a job interview, not a funeral Solaris. I just wanted to inform you just in case you didn't know where I was." I facepalmed a little, then rubbed my eyes. "Alright then, but since you're going I guess I'll get breakfast."
My Mum then walked out of the room, her black high-heels clanking on the floor, I didn't notice them earlier but I sure did now. I slowly peared from my bed, walking to my dresser to get changed, thoughts flying through my head; Mostly thoughts like: 'Which school am I going to this year?' And 'Why does Dad make me move schools every year?'.
I get changed into blue ripped jeans with a white, black and red striped shirt on, and of course not forgetting my favourite red and green flower crown on my head. I walk towards the door into the hallway, then scatter downstairs.
