“Arnavji”“Hmm” he replied while sitting on the recliner typing his work away.
“Arnavji” she called again.
“Hmm..mm” he stretched and stressed still typing.
“Arnavji”
“What is it Khushi?” He glanced at her lying form.
“Arnavji”
“What the! Do you have something to say? Or just wanna irritate me like always”
“Arnavji”
“Urgh!! Stop Khushi.” He pulled his hair.
“Arnavji”
Getting irritated, he picked his lappy and stormed out towards the poolside. Sitting on the chair kept outside he saw a smirking Khushi.
“Unbelievable man!!” he muttered.
Khushi hurriedly stood on the bed and literally jumped down from it, running towards the french doors. Closing them, she locked them from inside.
“What the!” Was what she heard before pulling the curtains close.
“Khushi open the door!” He commanded and knocked.
“No. Stay outside.” She said after a long wait.
“What? But why? I clearly remember I didn't do anything to spoil your mood? Anyways are you opening the door or not?” He asked, temper breaking its record.
“Nahh” moving away she locked the door of her room, least he enters from there.
“Khushi!!” He warned.
“Laad governor!! Go and eat the brain of your clients. I want some peace.”
“Fuck!!” He muttered under his breath. He knew what her peace meant. Watching Salman Khan's latest movie.
Moving away, he picked his prized possession, laptop and went inside the study for a better environment.
Nearly after 3 and half hours when he felt little hungry, he got up and came outside. He called his di knowing his wife would be busy with her so called peace.
“Di!!” He called.
No answer.
“Nani”
No answer.
“Mami”
Yet no answer.
Till then he came to know that none of them were in the house. Sighing, he went to his busy wife. Knocking on the door, he called her.
“Khushi?”
He heard some shuffling and then the sound of door unlocking. Pushing the door open, he was countered with a dark room with dim lights. The atmosphere screamed romance. Walking in, he saw the small candles lit on the floor at measurable distances from each other. The coffee table held 4 small water candles and a big white candle placed in its holders. The rose petals had been spread evenly around it.
The bed was beautifully decorated with a heart made out of roses in center. The curtains of french door were pulled close not allowing the moonlight to enter in.
He stood awestruck. No words flew out but then he suddenly remembered,
“Khushi?” He called.
No response
“Khushi, I know you are here somewhere. Come out now.” He said looking in the room.
