I walked about two houses down from the park when my feet started to feel sore. I had about 3 layers of socks; Tights, Knee Highs, and Leg Warmers. I took of my shoes and held them by the heel in one hand. "I can make it." I thought, "I can do it. C'mon you can do it, Geine."  I sprinted down the icey road. "One more house." I ran faster, then got to the house. I walked up to the porch and sat down on the second stone step. I stared at the bottom of my foot. I wiped it off with the sleeve of my sweater. My tights and socks ripped on one foot. My foot was bright red. I muscled through it, and put on my heels. I stood up and knocked on the front door and a woman with an blue apron and a white dress opened the door. Her name is Kymie

"Hey, Geine, come on in." Kymie said, welcoming me in.

"Thanks." I said walking in.

I sat on the beige, retro couch and took of my beanie. To the right of the living room was the hallway to bedrooms, and to the left was the bar to the kitchen.

"Where's your bathroom?" I asked standing up.

"In that room there." She said pointing to a door next to the hallway.

I walked in and looked in the mirror. My hair was horrendous. I looked around for a brush. Not in the drawer, not in a cupboard. "Where is it?" I looked everywhere. When I was about to give up and walk out, I noticed the mirror above the sink was a cupboard. I grabbed the handle on the side of the mirror and found the brushes, filled with hair, stacked on top of eachother. I grabbed the brush and took out the hair, quickly running it over to the trash to throw away. After then, I brushed out all my hair, and used some hair spray to keep my hair in place. After I washed my face with warm water, I walked into the dining room, past the kitchen and sat down.

"Hey kiddo." My dad said.

"Hi." I replied.

"Hi, Geine." Said Kymie's husband, Jack.

"Hey Jack." I said.

Kymie walked in with the food. There was mashed potatoes, corn, biscuits, and Steak. Kymie can walk in with 5 plates and not drop any. I'm still surprised her occupation isn't a waitress. She went back into the kitchen and came back out with a bottle of Sparkling Apple Cider and a carton of milk. Everyone had milk except for me. We passed around the food and got our servings, then held hands to thank God for another meal. We were silent for a while, then Kymie decided to ask me a question.
