Day broke out and birds could be heard chirping. Of course, that didn't mean Min Yoongi had to be happy that morning. His alarm blared out, Yoongi rubbed his eyes and growled at the loud screech of the alarm. Yoongi got up from his bed, eyes glaring at his clock on the other side of the room. With a nose scrunch and a loud huff, Yoongi walked over and turned off his alarm. He looked at his bed longingly, but walked towards his dresser and changed into a pair of clothes. He couldn't be late the third time this week. Before Yoongi could re-evaluate his decision of going to work and reuniting with his bed, he heard a crash from the kitchen. With a quick sigh Yoongi walked into the kitchen to see a broken bowl on the floor with a wide-eyed Namjoon in the middle of chaos.
"Before you say anything, Yoongi hyung-" Namjoon started. Yoongi merely gave a questioning look.
"I fixed you breakfast. I know it's just cereal, but it's the only thing I can't burn. And I tried to make me some cause it looked good... And I dropped the bowl." Yoongi grabbed the broom and dustpan and wiped the broken bits away.
"Namjoon, I don't care if you break it because that's your money not mine." Yoongi said with a shrug. Namjoon pouted but responded,
"Can you at least drive me to your cafe? I just lost my breakfast privileges."
"Yeah, yeah. I'm not going to let you starve obviously." Yoongi said with cereal in his mouth.
"Aish hyung! Eat with your mouth closed!"
"Not my fault, I was answering your question." Namjoon rolled his eyes and went to his room to get ready. Yoongi finished and washed his bowl. He whipped out his phone and called his friend, Hoseok.
"Hey Hobi."
"Hey Yoongi-hyung!" Hoseok replied cheerfully.
"Uh do you mind taking care of Holly? I'm taking Namjoon with me and I won't be home till later."
"Hm yeah. I think I'll be free all day, but is it okay if Yugyeom helps me?"
"Oh yeah. Wait, Yugyeom? Wiggles eyebrows suggestively."
"Yoongi, you did not just say that aloud. Oh my gosh!"
"Aish, where's the respect? And yes I did Hobi. Go get 'em tiger." Yoongi hung up quickly to avoid a longer conversation that his sunshine friend could easily provoke. He grabbed his keys and told Namjoon that he was going to start the car. Yoongi walked down the house stairs. As he got out, Yoongi heard someone call his name. He turned towards the old lady sitting on her rocking chair outside her porch.
"Mrs. Park, what can I help you with?" Yoongi bowed and greeted the old lady.
"What a kind boy, I was wondering if you can help me get inside. I'm not the same woman I was years ago." Mrs. Park replied with a chuckle. Yoongi nodded and went to help her inside her house. He guided her into her living room and sat her on the couch.
"Yoongi, you must meet my grandsons. One of them is a dance major and works at a dance studio and the other is in college for art design. They don't visit much but I'll tell you when they do." She says whilst looking fondly at a picture of two young boys.
"I'd love to soon, Mrs. Park. But I have to head to work, have a good day!"
"I hope you meet them soon, I can set you up with one of them. Don't think I haven't seen you with other men Yoongi. Have a good day too." Mrs. Park said with a smirk.
Yoongi burned bright red against his pale skin and bowed before leaving. As soon as Yoongi entered the car, Namjoon got out of the house. Yoongi turned on the car and waited for Namjoon to enter the car. Namjoon opens the door, plugs in his phone and plays a song like routine. Yoongi and Namjoon occasionally rap to songs but otherwise no words were spoken.
