Everyday, at 8:00, the neighbors to our right pulled into their garage. Everyday, at 8:00, my parents made sure I was inside.
"See that family, (Y/N)? They're bad news. Stay away from them," my parents would tell me. Everyday.
I was raised not to ask questions, so I just accepted it for what it was. I never asked why, and now I regret it.
Maybe if I had done something, none of this would have happened.
