"Do you hear that?"

He has an arm holding me back, pressing me to the wall. The footsteps rustled the leaves back at the yard. After a few seconds, it all went quiet.

In this quiet moment, i try to gather my thoughts, but i can't stay calm. I can hear his heavy breathing. His back pressed to the cracked brick wall behind us. His body looks tense, i can't blame him. His eyes are tired, the mischiveous glint i'm used to is gone. The fresh cut on his forehead glistened under the pale light, partially hidden under his golden locks.

He looked at me for a few seconds. The defeated look on his face almost made me tear up, but i know him better than that. He's far from giving up. Not after the things we went through. His eyes then move to the beaming stone wrapped in my hold. I held it up. The lilac grew bright as it devours the pale amber. The colors are shifting.

This stone is more of a curse than a blessing, unlike what most people say. This stone, the teleporter, the key of gates. The key of gates...

I held it close. Despite it's cruel nature, this stone is valuable in more ways than one. Most importantly, it's a reminder.

A reminder of why we're all separated.

A reminder of what happened to all of us.

A reminder of what i need to do to save our friend.

Cole,

hang in there.

Everyone,

Please hang in there,

We'll be together again soon.
