kim taehyung-a man feared by many and challenged by none. a ruthless mob boss and the ruler of seoul's underworld, he lives for control, chaos, and the thrill of dominance. cold-hearted and arrogant, he finds satisfaction in watching his enemies suf...
de'arra's eyes fluttered open, and she found herself admiring the sleeping beauty beside her. taehyung's lips were slightly parted in a pout, making her mentally coo at the adorable sight.
how can someone this dangerous look so cute when sleeping?
her gaze wandered across his features—from the red locks falling messily over his forehead to the perfectly chiseled, tattooed abs. he was ethereal, and she couldn't look away.
she reached for her phone on the nightstand and checked the time: 9:50 a.m.
crap, i'm so late for school.
carefully, she tried to slip out from under taehyung's arm, but his grip tightened instinctively.
"tae, i'm late. i need to get ready," she whispered, trying again.
instead of letting go, he buried his face in her neck, pressing soft kisses against her skin. "don't worry about it. i'll take care of it. let's just cuddle a little longer," he murmured in his deep, raspy morning voice.
______________
after a quick shower, taehyung went to his closet to pick out an outfit. de'arra sat on the edge of the bed, waiting for him, when she heard his footsteps approaching. she glanced up, and her breath hitched.

he looked so damn expensive.
her heart raced as she stared, realizing she might have an unhealthy obsession with his hair.
"done staring?" taehyung asked, smirking.
"no, not yet," she replied with a playful grin, shifting to get more comfortable as she let her eyes roam over him.
he chuckled, grabbing his car keys. "let's go, little one."
downstairs, they were met by the the others.
"you're going to school?" jimin asked, raising a brow.
de'arra nodded.
"eat breakfast first," jin suggested, but taehyung waved it off.
"she's late, hyung. let's go, love." he wrapped his arm protectively around her waist and guided her to the car.
as they left, the remaining men exchanged glances.
"what happened between them last night?" jungkook asked.
"looks like they're taking this whole 'arrangement' more seriously," namjoon replied.
"do you think he'll hurt her?" hoseok questioned, concern lacing his tone.
"i doubt it. he's committed," yoongi said simply.
"let's see how far he's willing to go for her."
____________
walking through the quiet hallways of her school, de'arra turned to taehyung. "you're coming inside with me?"
"yeah, love. i need to have a word with your professor." his grin was confident, almost devilish.
when they entered her classroom, all heads turned. gasps echoed, and a hush fell over the room as students' faces paled.
taehyung thrived on moments like this. the fear in their eyes fueled his power.
"mr. kim, what an unexpected pleasure," the professor stammered, his voice trembling.
"lovely room you have here," taehyung said smoothly. "t-thank you, mr. kim," the man stuttered, visibly nervous.
"i just came to drop off my angel. make sure she catches up on anything she missed. is that clear?"
"yes, of course."
de'arra smiled at the professor, instantly easing some of his tension. "thank you, sir," she said softly before turning to taehyung.
he cupped her face, pressing a lingering kiss to her lips. "call me when you're done, love."
"okay, i will. bye," she whispered.
"bye, baby." he kissed her forehead before leaving, his aura leaving a lasting chill in the room.
the moment the door shut, whispers erupted.
"mr. kim is your boyfriend?"
"de'arra, you lucky bitch!"
"how did you even meet him?"
"you've got yourself a rich daddy!"
"settle down, or you'll all have detention for a week!" the professor snapped.
de'arra sighed and took her seat beside jackson, her best friend. his jaw hung open in shock.
"you never answered my calls or texts, and now you stroll in with the mr. kim?" he whispered.
"i'll tell you everything at lunch," she promised.
_________
during lunch, jackson practically exploded. "he's your fiancé?! how the hell did that happen so fast? i'm so happy for you, dede!"
de'arra blushed, smiling shyly. "thanks, gae."
"you're so lucky! mr. ceo kim as a fiancé... but, honestly, he scares me."
"why?"
"his aura is just so... cold and dominating. he looks like he could kill someone with just one stare. how are you even alive?"
she laughed softly. "you're being dramatic, gae. i'll be right back, going to the bathroom."
in the bathroom, de'arra was washing her hands when two boys stormed in, their expressions angry and predatory.
"look who it is—mr. kim's girlfriend," one of them sneered. "how does it feel to be with the richest man in korea?"
"i think we should get something out of it, don't you?" the other chimed in. "you shouldn't be here. please, just leave," de'arra said, her voice shaky.
"shut up, bitch," one of them snapped, slapping her hard. the force made her stumble, and she tasted blood.
"give us his credit card information, and we'll let you go," the other growled, grabbing a fistful of her hair.
"i don't know anything! please, stop!" she whimpered, tears streaming down her face.
they didn't listen. one held her down while the other began to rip her clothes.
"let's go before someone catches us," one of them finally said, smirking.
"i had fun with you," the other sneered, before leaving.
they rushed out, leaving de'arra trembling and sobbing on the bathroom floor.
jackson, growing worried, rushed to find her. when he entered the bathroom, his heart broke at the sight.
"dede! what happened? oh my gosh, what happened to your clothes?"
"please... help me clean up," she whispered through her sobs.
jackson immediately took off his hoodie and wrapped it around her, shielding her trembling form. "i've got you," he said softly.
