Ch.1 Mysterious Man

   "So Joey you ready for the text coming up," I said. "WHAT? WE HAVE A TEST!" He yelled and started to panic. I laughed a little bit. "Well, it's more of a pop quiz that does not go on your grade." Joey did a sigh of relief and placed his right hand over where his heart is. "Almost gave me a heart attack, Yugi. Don't do that." I laughed as Joey was trying to get his heart to stop racing. 

   "Sorry, Joey... I didn't mean to scare you like that. I would have thought you knew already." I laughed. "Well, I do now so now I would have to study. I wanted to hang out with my sister tomorrow." Joey signed putting his hands into his pockets. "Serenity visiting again?" I asked looking ahead of me but taking a glance at Joey. He nodded. "Well, try to keep this a secret from Tristan."

   I heard Joey growl and I saw that he was glaring in the distance. "Oh, I will. But I still ain't done telling me off about that one time," Joey said holding up his right fist. I laughed nervously. "You mean the time when Tisitan picked up Serenity after her surgery and told total lies just to make her like him," I said. "That's right! He's going to pay for that."

   "Shouldn't you forgive and forget about that moment and move on with this?" I asked. "I would not forgive and I won't forget. Telling Serenity that he was the one who taught me, duel monsters! That was unacceptable!" He is never going to let that down... is he? 

   "Well, he can pay for another time. But in the meantime, you can plan what you want to do when your sister visits," I said nervously. Joey looked at me before sighing. "Yeah, your right. I just might have to wait to deal with him later." 'Wait, wasn't this like... 1 month ago?'  I thought. 

   'You know what I'm not going to question.' I continued to walk back home. (Aaron: But when did they stop walking?). It was silent between us now. I held onto one of my backpack straps tightly, cause I can hear Joey mumbling under his breath... And it was kind of making me uncomfortable. Even though it wasn't about me.

   I may look like a complete fool cause I was laughing nervously non stop. But I am glad that I was almost home. Cause this is getting awkward. "Hey, Joey!" I said nervously. "Huh?" He snapped out of it and looked at me. "Do you want to go shopping so I can help you pick out a gift for, Serenity?" I asked. 

   "Yeah, that would great, Yugi, thank you." I smiled at him and Joey smiled back. When I looked ahead of me again I saw that we were almost to the game shop. I decided to run ahead so I can do the things I need to do before going shopping with Joey. "I'm going to run ahead so I can get a few things down. So see you at the mall, Joey," I said running to the game shop but turning around to wave bye at him. "See you, Yug," Joey said waving back. 

   I turned back ahead of me and stopped in front of the game shop, I opened the door. "Oh, welcome back, Yugi!" Grandpa greeted me. "Hello, grandpa. Oh, grandpa, can I go to the mall so I can help, Joey." He looked at me before thinking. "Yeah, I don't see why not. I have nothing for you to do," he said.

   "Thanks, grandpa," I said and walked over to the door to the house part of the game shop and walked to my room. I have to do a little bit of homework before I have to get ready.

~Time skip~

   I was all done with my homework now all I have to do is get dressed. I walked over to my closets and looked through them. I grabbed a white shirt and black jeans. It would have to do. I took off the clothes I had on and put on the ones I pick out. When I got everything one I started to head out. I walked out of my room and down to the game shop.

   "See you later, grandpa," I said and walked out of the game shop. "See you later, Yugi." Was the last time my grandpa said before I closed the door and ran to the mall. I know I was going to be a little early then, Joey so it was more like jogging then running. And cause it wasn't that far away from the game shop.
